Persistent rain outside, lively dialogue inside: the fifth annual meeting of REWE Group's own women's network f.ernetzt once again showed that women are experts at maintaining professional contacts. Daniela Büchel, Member of the Management Board for People and patron of the network, encouraged women to utilise this skill for their professional development.

With the claim "It's Your Turn", PENNY Italy is committed to diversity and integration: PENNY is therefore an official partner of Milano Pride 2024 and Pride Sport Milano for the first time and flew the flag at the parade in Milan on 29 June.

Logistics manager in Hungary
Brigitta Vida manages one of a total of four logistics centres that supply PENNY stores in Hungary. She has been responsible for the warehouse in Karcag, which covers an area of 26,000 square metres and supplies 78 shops, for seven years. As a woman in the traditionally male-dominated field of logistics, she manages 200 employees.
We are now looking for recreational footballers who would like to play for the REWE Group teams at the Come Together Cup on 30 May 2024 in Cologne.
MyAbility programme
The REWE Group participates in myAbility Talent, which provides internships in companies for young academics with severe disabilities. Charlotte Ehl, who brings interested departments and potential interns together, knows what the programme is all about, how to break down inhibitions and why doorsteps are not really a problem.
REWE Group is one of the most LGBTIQ+-friendly companies in Germany. This is confirmed by the "Pride Index" awarded by the Uhlala Group for the fifth time. We were able to improve significantly compared to the previous year.
FC celebrates diversity match day
At the match against VfB Stuttgart, the 1. FC Köln team did not wear our familiar red or white REWE logo on their chest, but a colourful one. This was because the motto of the match was "#LEBEwiedubist - together for diversity".
10 years of di.to.
150 employees and guests celebrated the tenth anniversary of REWE Group's own LGBTIQ network di.to in Cologne on 18 August.
REWE Group Austria
May was Diversity Month with many interesting presentations and exciting insights into our company's diversity activities. We also took a look at Austria and spoke to Sandra Edelmann, Diversity Manager at BILLA, to find out how diversity is practised there and how important the topic is within the Group.
CSD Parade
An exuberant atmosphere on the REWE Group float at the Cologne CSD: over 200 colleagues from REWE Group celebrated diversity last Sunday (9 July) during the demonstration procession through the city centre.
Special Olympics
The Special Olympics World Games have found a fan community: With 50,000 spectators at the opening ceremony and 330,000 visitors, the event exceeded all expectations. Right in the middle of it all: 100 volunteers and an athlete from REWE Group.

Anton is nine years old and has Down's syndrome. To make the weekly shopping trip for him and his mum Nicole more needs-based and relaxed, REWE salesman Rade Savic has purchased a special shopping trolley. Since then, "Anton's speedster" has become an integral part of the store in Küps, Bavaria.

Diversity
Selling paint, wallpaper or screws - in Turkish, Romanian, Albanian or Japanese? No problem at the Toom Baumarkt DIY store in Griesheim. More than half of the 58 employees have roots outside Germany - there are more than 20 nationalities in the store. This is not only helpful for customers from all over the world. The diversity is also a major benefit for the colleagues at the store.

At the beginning of July (3 July), Cologne was all about "D'r Zoch kütt", but that didn't mean the Rose Monday parade. On the occasion of Christopher Street Day (CSD), 1.2 million visitors came to the city to set an example for tolerance and diversity - including numerous REWE Group employees.
