More important than ever: REWE Group and 1 FC Köln send a clear signal in favour of diversity

#LEBEWieDuBist: Together with 1. FC Köln, the FC Foundation, ColognePride e.V. and other partners, we as REWE Group are once again committed to diversity and inclusion - and resolutely against exclusion and discrimination of any kind.

To this end, the 1. FC Köln team wore a special diversity jersey at the last home match against Hertha BSC on 5 April. As in previous seasons, we supported the campaign. The novelty: for the first time, not only the logos of the two partners REWE and DEVK shone in rainbow colours on the kit, but also the FC crest and the logo of the outfitter hummel. The RheinEnergieSTADION was also "colourful": the large pylons on the sides did not shine in red and white as usual, but also in the diversity colours.

REWE Group CEO Lionel Souque on the joint commitment: "Diversity is a core value of our corporate culture at REWE Group. We are proud to set an example for diversity and inclusion together with 1. FC Köln. In a world that is constantly on the move, our support for the team reflects our conviction that different perspectives and backgrounds enrich and strengthen us."

FC managing director Philipp Türoff added: "We are very pleased that we were able to send a clear signal in favour of diversity in sport and society together with our partners REWE and DEVK as well as our supplier hummel. We would like to thank them for their long-standing support in this area, which we cannot emphasise enough, especially in the current climate."

On match day, flags with the FC campaign motif also adorned the Oskar-Rehfeldt-Weg in the direction of the stadium. Numerous FC partners and organisations from the Diversity Network Cologne also met before the home match to initiate even better networking on diversity issues.
