A new online training course in Primus helps people to become aware of their own prejudices in the job environment and to reflect on them.
Having prejudices is completely normal. They are even vital for all of us. They enabled our ancestors, the Stone Age people, to categorise their surroundings as dangerous or harmless in a matter of seconds. At the same time, prejudices are a brake pad. They act like a filter in our heads - or like the famous board in front of it: they prevent us from having new experiences because other perspectives are blocked out from the outset. What doesn't fit into our world view is made to fit or simply suppressed. This not only affects our private lives, but also our working environment.
The first step to getting rid of prejudices is to become aware of them in the first place and put them to the test. This is where the voluntary online training course "Unconscious. Conscious. Make.", which is now being offered in Primus. In an entertaining way, the online training shows why each of us has such unconscious biases and why they can be a hindrance when working with other people. Useful tips and tricks are provided to help you reflect on and change your own behaviour in everyday life.
