Di.to., REWE Group's LGBTIQ network, is inviting employees to take part in CSD in five major cities this year.
REWE Group has been closely associated with Christopher Street Day (CSD) for many years. Organised by the company's own LGBTIQ network di.to., it takes part in the parade with its own truck and lots of cheerful employees and friends. A clear sign of tolerance and diversity in times of ongoing queer-hostile attacks. This year, REWE Group is positioning itself even more clearly and expanding its support for the CSD parades taking place nationwide. While rainbow REWE Group trucks have so far only been on the road in Cologne and Hamburg, di.to. 2023 will be represented in three more cities. True to the overarching motto "Because diversity unites us". Anyone who wants to celebrate diversity together with the di.to network can take part.

Cologne Pride
The Cologne CSD on 9 July is the highlight and finale of the ColognePride event, which lasts several weeks and whose main sponsors include the REWE Group together with REWE and PENNY. In addition to the CSD street festival, ColognePride offers "queer events" with a variety of cultural, socio-political and informative programmes.
Christopher Street Day
Christopher Street Day, or CSD for short, is marked by parades organised by and for the LGBTIQ community around the world, including in Germany. CSD, which is simply called Gay Pride in other countries, originated as a riot by homosexuals and other sexual minorities against police brutality in a bar on Christopher Street in New York's Greenwich Village on 27 June 1969. 10 years later, in 1979, CSD took place in Germany for the first time: 450 people took to the streets in a cheerful and colourful way for "gay pride" and the legal right to love whoever you want. Today, almost one million participants in Berlin alone celebrate equal rights and social recognition for gays, lesbians, bisexuals, transsexuals, transgender people and intersexuals.
