For us as a company, rainbow flags or days of action such as the International Day Against Homophobia (IDAHOBIT) are more than just a symbol. Diversity and respectful cooperation are key prerequisites for good collaboration. Because only in an environment where everyone can be who they are can trust, openness and genuine teamwork develop - regardless of identity or lifestyle. DITO, REWE Group's own LGBTIQ network, has been a driving force behind this since it was founded.

We also make this attitude visible to the outside world - for example through our participation in CSD parades in Germany and abroad - more important than ever in times when the pressure on LGBTIQ movements is increasing worldwide. CSD (Christopher Street Day) is an international day of demonstration and commemoration for the legal rights of the LGBTIQ+ community and stands for equality and social participation.

The fact that we take part in the parades with our own trucks is a conscious sign: in favour of acceptance, cohesion and against discrimination. At the same time, it is an invitation to our colleagues to be part of this symbol themselves. Anyone who rides along or joins in sends out a signal together with many others: everyone is welcome here.
