At the match against VfB Stuttgart, the 1. FC Köln team did not wear our familiar red or white REWE logo on their chest, but a colourful one. This was because the motto of the match was "#LEBEwiedubist - together for diversity."
Together with the Effzeh and sleeve sponsor DEVK, we once again sent out a clear signal against exclusion and discrimination on 30 September and thus for our shared core values: fair play, diversity, respect and acceptance.
"Together for diversity! I am grateful that today, together with FC and other partners, we have emphasised the importance and relevance of diversity for the 5th time with the 'LIVE as you are' campaign. How valuable diversity is and that football can be a pioneer in this regard was once again clearly visible in the stadium. Together for our passion for football - regardless of gender, sexual orientation or age," said our CEO Lionel Souque after the match.

The FC professionals took on VfB Stuttgart in a special jersey, sending out a clear signal in favour of diversity. As in previous seasons, we supported the day of action. Our sponsor logo on the FC home shirt - like that of DEVK - was in rainbow colours. Before the match, the FC professionals also warmed up in special shirts designed by equipment supplier Hummel in cooperation with FC and six other international partner clubs. Together, we promoted diversity at all levels of social life.
Colleagues from di.to were on site with an information stand at the Diversity Match Day.
"We are looking forward to setting such an important example with our partners. we see 'Jede Jeck ist anders' as an absolute enrichment. We want to make diversity visible and a home match day is an excellent stage for this," explained FC President Werner Wolf.
"Different people have different points of view. We can benefit enormously from this - whether in sport, at work or in the family. Colouring in our logo on Diversity Match Day is a good way to draw attention to this - but putting diversity into practice every day is the much more important goal," said Markus Kalkowski, Head of Corporate Communications at DEVK.
