Drasko Lazovic comes in for Mathias Mentrop

Drasko Lazovic, Mathias Mentrop On 1 May, Drasko Lazovic, currently management of the REWE delivery/collection service, will take over the role of COO PENNY Czech Republic after a two-month induction period. He succeeds Mathias Mentrop, 46, who is moving to Hungary. Drasko Lazovic joined REWE digital in July 2014 as Head of Expansion, Networks and Formats and has been in his current role since 2019. Before joining REWE digital, he held various positions at Metro Cash & Carry Germany, most recently as Head of Business Model Migration.

Florian Naegele Florian Naegele, 49, will take over from Jens Krieger as CEO Penny Czech Republic from 1 August following the successful handover. Krieger will assume a management position at Retail Germany. Florian Naegele has been CEO of PENNY Hungary since 2018. He was responsible for purchasing, sales, marketing, quality assurance, project management, auditing, corporate communication, expansion and construction. Before joining PENNY International, he spent four years as Chairman of the Management Board of PENNY South.
Mathias Mentrop will take over from Florian Naegele as CEO PENNY Hungary from 1 July following the successful handover. After gaining initial experience as a district manager and sales manager, Mathias Mentrop joined REWE Group in 2012 as Sales Manager PENNY Bulgaria. From 2015, he worked as Sales Manager at PENNY Czech Republic. in 2018, he took on the newly created position of COO with responsibility for the sales department, expansion and construction. All senior managers named report to Michael Jäger, Divisional Director PENNY International.

PENNY regions North and South
Daniel Perpeet replaces Claus-Dieter Ziemann

Daniel Perpeet Claus-Dieter Ziemann, Chairman of the PENNY Region North management, will enter the passive phase of partial retirement on 1 September after more than 40 years with the company. Daniel Perpeet, 46, acting Head of Sales Department PENNY Region South, will succeed Claus-Dieter Ziemann as Chairman of the Management Board PENNY Region North on the same date. He will report to Dr Stefan Görgens, Divisional Director Retail Germany COO PENNY. Perpeet began his career in 2004 at PENNY Markt GmbH as a district manager in the North region. He then worked as Sales Manager and Sales Manager in the East and North regions and as Head of National PENNY Sales in Cologne.

Sven Selzam Sven Selzam, 42, took over from Daniel Perpeet as sales department manager in the PENNY South region on 1 February. Selzam reports to Tina Mangold, Chairwoman of the PENNY Region South management. Sven Selzam has many years of operational experience in retail. He has held various management positions at Aldi. Most recently, he was Sales Director at Netto ApS & Co KG. Daniel Perpeet will take over the position of Head of Sales National PENNY from Julian Bluhm, who will gain experience in various sales functions in the PENNY West region during this time, until he begins his induction as Chairman of the Management of the PENNY North region.

REWE digital
Daniel Backhausen leads Online & Mobile

Dr Daniel Backhausen REWE digital, the IT unit of REWE Group, is establishing a new Online & Mobile specialised domain as part of its ongoing adaptation to new technologies and improved customer orientation. As of 1 July, Dr Daniel Backhausen, 44, will take over the management of the specialist domain. After completing his studies in computer engineering and business informatics, he took on various consulting mandates before assuming technological responsibility for the development of e-commerce as Head of Architecture & Development at Fressnapf in 2013. in 2016, Daniel Backhausen moved to ZooRoyal as Director IT and developed the IT verticals, including technical responsibility for the PENNY and Weinfreunde online platforms, in 2017. Since 2021, he has been Director IT at Lekkerland Information Systems, where he is responsible for Business Services & IT Solutions and technological transformation. Daniel Backhausen reports to Stefan Matzelle, Chief Commercial Officer and Managing Director of REWE digital.

Clemens Bauer is responsible for e-commerce

Clemens Bauer, Elke Wilgmann On 1 March, Clemens Bauer will take over the e-commerce division as a member of REWE's management. Clemens Bauer has been responsible for marketing at REWE since 2020. After gaining initial experience in industry and consulting, he joined the REWE Group in 2012 as Head of Development & Consulting. he moved to ZooRoyal as managing director in 2016. At the same time, Elke Wilgmann took over responsibility for marketing as a member of the REWE management team. Elke Wilgmann moved to Austria in 2018, where she is currently responsible for marketing, strategy, sustainability and e-commerce as a member of the Management Board of BILLA Consumer. Before moving to BILLA, she had already been responsible for marketing at REWE for three years. Wilgmann began her professional career at Neckermann Versand AG. From there, she moved to the REWE Group in 2002, where she held various positions in Germany and abroad.

Michael Paterno As part of this, the existing departments will be merged into the new "Consumer & Insights" department at BILLA Austria from March under the leadership of Michael Paterno, currently Management Board member for BILLA Insights. Elke Wilgmann and Clemens Bauer will report to Peter Maly, member of the Management Board.

Simone Frenser is HR Partner

Simone Frenser Simone Frenser, 34, was appointed HR Partner for Customer, Analytics & Technology on 1 February. Simone Frenser joined REWE Deutscher Supermarkt AG & Co KGaA in March 2017 as a consultant in the HR Head Office department. There, she worked in various support areas at the head office as an HR officer and partner in the South region. In her new role, she will report to Oliver Holler, Head of HR Head Office.

Florian Schmitt is responsible for merchandise management

Florian Schmitt On 1 January, Florian Schmitt, 40, took over the role of Chief Product Owner (CPO) in the specialist domain of Stationary Retail (SEH). He is thus responsible for the merchandise management products and their further development. Florian Schmitt joined the company as an apprentice in 2003. From 2015 to 2019, he was Head of the Central Order and Logistics Processes department, and from 2019 to 2021 he was CIO Officer. Florian Schmitt has been a Product Owner at SEH since 2021. He reports to Aurel Bukmajer (Division Manager/Director Specialist Domain Over-the-counter Retail).

Antonio Ribeiro hands over to René van Hall

Antonio Ribeiro, René van Hall Antonio Ribeiro, 58, will hand over the wine, sparkling wine and spirits product group in the full-range section to René van Hall, 42. As a trained sommelier, René van Hall has already been successfully responsible for this product group at PENNY for a long time. In this context, Antonio Ribeiro will take over responsibility for the private label wine, sparkling wine and spirits area as Senior Category Buyer. Both will report to Cédric Garraud. Jan Weynand will take over the Non-alcoholic Beverages product group from Manuel Danischus, who is leaving REWE Group for personal reasons. Jan Weynand will continue to report to Axel Bolten, Head of Purchasing.

Daniel Brune succeeds Jan Weynand

Daniel Brune has been appointed Senior Category Buyer to succeed Jan Weynand in the nutrition, sauces and delicatessen product group. Brune joined the company in August 2008 as an EK/CM clerk. He was appointed Category Buyer in 2015. Since then, he has worked in various areas and product groups, most recently for the non-alcoholic beverages product group in the full-range dry goods 2/beverages/WKC area. Daniel Brune also reports to Axel Bolten.

Julia Linn hands over to Giacomina Troilo

Giacomina Troilo Julia Linn will be taking on a new challenge within REWE. Giacomina Troilo, 31, has been appointed Senior Category Buyer and will take over the management of the fish, tinned fish and delicatessen service counter product group from Julia Linn. Giacomina Troilo joined the company as an apprentice in September 2012. After completing her training, she was taken on as a layout assistant in the CM Support department. In May 2016, she moved to the Goods Own Brand Dry Assortment department as a purchasing assistant. Since November 2018, she has been successfully working as a Buyer in the Own Brand Fresh Produce department. Giacomina Troilo will report to Stephan Moers.

Adrian Meyer takes over from Ralf Happe

As part of his active partial retirement, Ralf Happe will gradually pass on his knowledge until he enters the passive phase of partial retirement. Adrian Meyer will take over the dairy products product group in addition to his current butter, fats, milk and eggs product group. Both will continue to report to Purchasing Manager Stephan Moers.

Johanna Brenninkmeyer succeeds René van Hall

Johanna Brenninkmeyer Johanna Brenninkmeyer, 28, has been appointed Senior Category Buyer Wine, Sparkling Wine, Spirits as René van Hall's successor. In this role, she will report to Marcus Pratsch, Purchasing Manager Discount Dry Assortment 1 & Beverages. After holding various positions in the retail sector, Brenninkmeyer joined REWE Group Buying in 2021 as a management consultant for discount goods.

Tessa Kurth takes over Mopro

Markus Meinke Markus Meinke, 40, will be responsible for the newly formed product groups Baking, Oils, Vinegar in the Goods Discount Dry Assortment 2 & Drugstore division as Senior Category Buyer and will report to Purchasing Manager Nina Schäfer in this role. Meinke has been working in Purchasing at REWE Group since 2012, most recently as Senior Category Buyer MoPro in the Discount Fresh division. His successor is Tessa Kurth as Senior Category Buyer for the Mopro product group. Tessa Kurth began her career at REWE Group in 2016 as Assistant CM/EK. After a stint in the region, she returned to REWE Group Buying in 2019 as a buyer in the own-brand fresh produce division. Tessa Kurth reports to Benjamin Wölk, Head of Discount Fresh Produce Buying.

Nora Bohland is responsible for vinegar, oil and baking

Nora Bohland On 1 February, Nora Bohland, 31, took over the management of the newly created Vinegar/Oil, Baking product group in the Own Brand Dry Goods division as Senior Buyer. Bohland joined the company as a trainee in December 2017. Following her trainee programme, she was taken on as a Buyer in the Own Brand Dry Goods division, where she was responsible for various product groups. Nora Bohland reports to Alexandra Brunnenkant, Purchasing Manager Own Brand Dry Goods.

ZooRoyal
Alexandra Thode manages pet supplies

In the pet supplies product group, the mandate for private label imports and brand purchasing was transferred from toom Baumarkt DIY stores to REWE Group Buying on 1 February. Both activities will be bundled together with the stationary category management for REWE stores and ZooRoyal speciality stores in a functional area under the management of Alexandra Thode, Senior Category Buyer Toys, Sports, Party and Fireworks. Alexandra Thode will assume responsibility for the pet supplies product group in addition to her existing duties. She will continue to report to Tristan Finger, Purchasing Manager VS Non-Food. Category management for toom remains with toom Baumarkt DIY store.

Oliver Honisch heads new functional area

Oliver Honisch For the pet food product group, a new functional area Pet Food Specialist Retail is being created in the Ware VS Drugstore division, in which the purchasing of specialist retail brands and stationary category management for ZooRoyal speciality stores will be bundled. Oliver Honisch, 43, takes over as Senior Category Buyer Pet Food Speciality Retail and reports to Christian Üffing, Purchasing Manager Drugstore VS. Jörg Duffek, Senior Category Buyer Pet Food, Baby, Reform, OTC, Hygiene, will remain responsible for the food retail pet food division. In addition, Oliver Honisch remains Managing Director Goods at ZooRoyal Petcare, which is responsible for online category management for pet food and pet supplies. He will also remain a member of ZooRoyal's management team, where he will assume cross-channel responsibility for specialised pet food and pet supplies. In these functions, Oliver Honisch will continue to report to Dr Jan Flemming as CEO of ZooRoyal.

Nikolai Scheurecker succeeds Hanna Maier

Nikolai Scheurecker, Mario Günther Rauch On 1 February,Nikolai Scheurecker, 34, succeeded Hanna Maier, 37, who is leaving the company for personal reasons. He joins Mario Günther Rauch, 38, on the managing directors. Nikolai Scheurecker was most recently Head of Analytics & CRM at BILLA. After studying economics in Vienna and spending time in the USA and Italy, as well as working in controlling at a technology company, the start-up sector and a management consultancy, he moved to REWE International AG in 2017. Born in Linz, he was initially responsible for setting up central price and promotion management for the BILLA and MERKUR sales channels. In 2020, he took over the Analytics & CRM department at BILLA AG, where he manages the analytics agendas and - in close cooperation with the jö Bonus Club multi-partner programme - the further development of CRM around the topics of data-driven decision making and marketing automation. Mario Günther Rauch takes over the Analytics, Central Customer Service and Finance & Controlling departments and heads the Partner Management, Innovation & Business Development, Strategic Programme Management & Insights, Business Services/IT and Marketing & PR departments.

Marc Lanneau replaces Freek van Beek

Marc Lanneau Freek van Beek, Managing Director of Lekkerland Netherlands, has left the company at the end of 2022. He was succeeded on 1 January by Marc Lanneau, currently Managing Director of Conway Belgium, who has also taken over as Managing Director of Lekkerland Netherlands. Lanneau will remain Managing Director of Conway Belgium. In both positions, he reports to Patrick Steppe, Chairman of the Lekkerland Management Board and Divisional Director Convenience. Marc Lanneau has worked for the Lekkerland Group in various positions since 2005. He has been Managing Director of Conway Belgium since April 2017. Thanks to these many years of experience, he knows both the Lekkerland Group and the special challenges of the Dutch national company very well.

DER Travel and Tourism - Nordic AB
Tobias Jönsson takes over from Leif Vase Larsen

Tobias Jönsson, Leif Vase Larsen Tobias Jönsson will become CEO of DER Travel and Tourism Nordic AB on 1 July. He will take over operational responsibility for the Nordic and Benelux markets from Leif Vase Larsen, who will focus on his role as a member of the Executive Board and CEO International of DER Travel and Tourism Group. Mr Jönsson began his career as a consultant at McKinsey & Company before moving into the travel industry. Over the past 17 years, he has held various management positions for companies in the SAS Group. He holds a Master of Science in Engineering and Business Management from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. Tobias Jönsson reports to Leif Vase Larsen,CEO International.
