
René Haßfeld and Jochen Vogel
As of 1 July,Jochen Vogel has taken over the position of CEO of toom Baumarkt DIY store, succeeding René Haßfeld, who will be dedicating himself to new professional challenges after a handover phase on 31 July.
Vogel has extensive experience in the retail business: He has headed the REWE Region North since 2016 and previously held various management positions at PENNY as well as Aldi in England. In his new role as Divisional Director, he will report to Christoph Eltze, Group Management Board member of REWE Group. REWE Group would like to thank René Haßfeld for his many years of successful work at toom Baumarkt DIY store and his significant contribution to the further development of the company.
Jan Karrasch, Martin Czoske
In the course of 2025, Jan Karrasch, currently managing director at the REWE digital subsidiary paymenttools, will become the new CFO of toom Baumarkt DIY store, succeeding Martin Czoske, who will turn to new professional tasks after a transition phase in the fourth quarter. Karrasch has in-depth financial expertise, including as CFO of IKI Lithuania and as Head of Finance and Controlling at REWE digital for many years.
Andreas Persigehl
On 1 September, Andreas Persigehl will take over as Chairman of the Management Board of REWE Region North and will report to REWE Group Management Board member Peter Maly. Persigehl has already held various management positions at REWE Group - including as Managing Director Sales in the Northern Region and most recently as Managing Director at BIPA in Austria, where he provided important impetus in the areas of Sustainability and Digitalisation.
Markus Geyer
The successful drugstore chain BIPA continues to grow: in addition to its home market of Austria and the established Croatian market, BIPA is now also expanding into Romania. The new organisational unit BIPA International is being founded to improve management.
Markus Geyer, currently spokesman for the managing directors of BIPA Austria, will also take on the role of CEO BIPA International from 1 September 2025. In future, he will be responsible for the cross-border positioning and expansion of the BIPA brand and will report to Marcel Haraszti, Divisional Director Retail International.
Daniela Reumann
At the same time, Daniela Reumann will take over the sales department, construction technology and supply chain at BIPA Austria. She succeeds Andreas Persigehl and brings with her many years of experience in purchasing, product range development and sales development. Her career within REWE Group began in 2005 in Central Purchasing.
Randi Baum
On 1 May, Randi Baum also assumed disciplinary responsibility for the national area of commercial consulting for independent retailers (KBS) as Head of PMO Cooperation Models for Independent Retailers (SEH). On the one hand, the area supports the conceptual development of the cooperation models for retailers. On the other hand, the division is to ensure more documentation on the regulations and promote the transfer of knowledge to other specialised areas. The department also provides technical support to the regional CAB colleges. In the regions, the department serves as an internal advice centre for self-employed retailers on issues relating to self-employment regulations and as an expert for regional management, sales departments and specialist departments. Together with Björn Stadtel, Randi Baum is also responsible for coordinating and managing the BTKK round table (Business Administration topics cooperation models for retailers) as well as managing the back office of the Self-Employment and Cooperative Divisional Director. After completing a Master's degree in "Management & Marketing" at the University of Duisburg-Essen, Randi Baum joined REWE Group in 2017 as a consultant to the Divisional Director Self-Employment & Co-operatives and has been responsible for the PMO Cooperation Models for Independent Retailers since 2022. Randi Baum continues to report to Divisional Director Thomas Nonn.
Veronika Volz was promoted to Head of Analytics on 1 June. She is responsible for the specialised domain of Sales & Business Functions within the Analytics department. Veronika Volz joined REWE Group on 1 October 2012 as a Category Insight Analyst. Since January 2017, she has worked as a (Senior) Retail Analyst in the Analytics department. Since 1 November 2021, she has been responsible for the partner area of the Sales & Business Functions specialist domain as Lead Analytics. Veronika Volz reports to Lorenz Determann, Head of Analytics.
Lea Schreiber
On 15 June, Lea Schreiber, 39, took over the role of HR Partner for the Holding's Finance, Tax, M&A, Administration/Service and Controlling divisions. She reports to Oliver Holler, Head of HR Headquarters. Before joining REWE Group, Lea Schreiber worked in various HR functions.
Erich Szuchy 's new dual role as Chairman of the Management Board and Chief Procurement Officer at BILLA AG has led to changes in the Category Management & Purchasing department. Szuchy has been supported by two new heads of Category Management & Purchasing since 1 July: Zdeslav Jolic, 39, for the dry goods range (food & non-food) and Mario Elbers,48, for the fresh produce area.
Mario Elbers
As Managing Director of CM-EK Freshness, Mario Elbers has been responsible for the Fruit and Vegetables, Mopro & Cheese, Bread & Baked Goods, Frozen Products, Sausage, Convenience and Strategy, Competence, Organisation and Projects divisions since 1 July. Elbers began his career at BILLA in 2022 as Head of Fresh Produce, was appointed Head of Purchasing in 2024 and previously worked in purchasing at Aldi in Germany.
Jolic Zdeslav
As CM-EK management, Zdeslav Jolic is responsible for the entire dry goods range, including near-food and non-food. He will also assume responsibility for the CM Services division, which includes space management, price and promotion management and the Master Data Competence Centre. He is also responsible for the technical management of purchasing at BIPA and ADEG. Zdeslav Jolic joined the company in 2020 as Head of Food Purchasing and was promoted to Head of Purchasing in November 2022. Prior to that, he held various management positions in purchasing and category management at Lidl, PENNY International and Kaufland. All three report to Erich Szuchy, Chairman of the Executive Board and Head of Purchasing at BILLA.
Thomas Fidler
Thomas Fidler, 45, is still Spokesman of the Managing Directors of REWE Austria Fleischwaren GmbH and Genussküche. Fidler started as Head of Fresh Meat Production in 2016. His area of responsibility includes the four production sites with the meat cutting plants in Eberstalzell and Traiskirchen, the sausage and ham production in Radstadt and the convenience production in Traiskirchen as well as the logistics site in St. Veit/Glan.
