Marcel Haraszti is responsible for BILLA CEE

Espen Larsen, Marcel Haraszti REWE International AG Management Board member Espen B. Larsen, responsible for REWE Group's full-range business areas in Central and Eastern Europe (BILLA in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Bulgaria and IKI in Lithuania), has decided to leave the company as of 31 May for personal reasons. Espen B. Larsen's position will not be filled. His colleague on the Management Board, Marcel Haraszti, will take over his responsibilities on 1 October, in addition to his responsibility for full-range Austria (BILLA, BIPA, ADEG). Between 1 June and 1 October, the BILLA CEE / IKI unit will report directly to Jan Kunath, the REWE Group Management Board member responsible for Retail International. Espen B. Larsen has been responsible for the full-range business in Central and Eastern Europe (BILLA, IKI) as a Management Board member of REWE International AG since 2021. Previously, he had been a member of the management of PENNY International since October 2018. Marcel Haraszti has been a member of the Management Board of REWE International AG since 2016. He began his career in the REWE Group in 2001 and, after working as an assistant to the Management Board in Austria, moved to the management of BILLA Ukraine in 2004. From 2007 to 2008, Marcel Haraszti was CEO of BILLA Romania. He was then appointed Chairman of the Managing Directors of the IKI retail group in Lithuania. In 2012, Haraszti joined the management of REWE Vollsortiment in Germany, where he was responsible for the southern region.

Niklas Müller comes, Walter Steffens goes

Niklas Müller, Walter Steffens The Supervisory Board of FÜR SIE eG has appointed Niklas Müller to the Management Board of FÜR SIE eG with effect from 1 April. Müller takes over responsibility from Walter Steffens, who is leaving the company on 31 March. Niklas Müller has already been working for FÜR SIE Handelsgenossenschaft for ten years. Most recently, he was responsible for the beverage marketing company GVG and the reusable beverage logistics company LHV as managing director. Together with Management Board Spokesman Dr Martin Küssner, Niklas Müller will form the two-member Management Board of FÜR SIE eG in future. "We are delighted that we have been able to find someone from our own ranks for the position of Management Board member in Niklas Müller. Mr Müller knows FÜR SIE very well from various positions and has demonstrated his skills as managing director of GVG and LHV in a turbulent environment in recent years," commented Für Sie Supervisory Board Chairman Kai Mattfeld on the change to the Management Board.

PENNY International
Niko Karras and Kai Pataky take over at PENNY Austria

Mike Podobrin, Managing Director of PENNY Austria since May 2023, has decided to leave the company for personal reasons.

Niko Karras On 1 April, Niko Karras will join the managing directors of PENNY Austria and will be responsible for the sales department, construction and furnishings, as well as for expansion and people and culture with a coordination function at REWE International AG. Karras joined PENNY Austria in December 2019 as Sales Director and is currently responsible for 320 PENNY stores in Austria. Before joining PENNY, the business law graduate started as a trainee at Aldi Nord in Germany, where he held various management positions.

Kai Pataky Kai Pataky, Managing Director of PENNY Austria, will take over MIke Podobrin's responsibilities for Purchasing, Marketing, Auditing and Organisation as well as Strategy and Project Management in addition to the Controlling and Corporate Communication departments. Kai Pataky has also been appointed Spokesman of the Managing Directors. Both Managing Directors will report to Michael Jäger, Divisional Director PENNY International and Spokesman of the Managing Directors of PENNY International.
