
On 8 October, Dr Oliver Bernards succeeded Jan Karrasch as CFO of Paymenttools. Bernards will be responsible for Finance, Technology and Regulatory Affairs. As CFO, he will report to Dr Klaus Wirbel. With a doctorate in business administration, Oliver Bernards has more than 25 years of experience in senior finance functions. In recent years, as managing director of LOGPAY, he has shaped the further development of the company in the area of financial services.
Robert Schäfer, Tim Schirra
Robert Schäfer, management of retailers and Chairman of the regional SAS West, stepped down from his position on 31 October in order to focus exclusively on the management and control of his stores again. Tim Schirra succeeded him in both positions on 1 November. Schirra began his career at REWE as a store manager in 2014 and has been an independent merchant with five REWE stores since 2018.
Egle Juzenaite, Alexandra Draxler-Zima
Starting with a handover and familiarisation phase, Egle Juzenaite will take on the newly created role of Managing Director Shared Service Enablement from January 2026. At the same time, she will also fulfil her previous role as CFO IKI Lithuania until 30 April. Shortly after joining REWE Group, the native Lithuanian took on a management role as CFO at the supermarket operator IKI Lithuania, which is managed by BILLA CEE, on 1 January 2024. Alexandra Draxler-Zima will take on the role of Managing Director Shared Service Operations on 1 May 2026 in addition to her role as CFO Austria and Managing Director of REWE International Dienstleistungs GmbH. The retail scientist joined REWE International AG in 1996, where she was appointed to the Management Board of ADEG AG in 2009 after holding various management positions at BILLA. In February 2019, she moved to MERKUR as Spokeswoman of the Management Board and in July 2020 to the management of REWE International Dienstleistungs GmbH. Both managers will thus assume overall responsibility for REWE Group Business Solutions from Michael Meysing, Dirk Kühn, Jens Gerstner and Dieter Nickel. They will report to Group Management Board member Telerik Shishmanov.
Dirk Kühn will concentrate on Group Financial Reporting after handover and familiarisation until his retirement in July 2027. Michael Meysing will focus on his agendas as Head of Controlling and his mandate as a commercial member of the REWE Management Board after handover and familiarisation. Jens Gerstner will remain responsible for finance-related processes in REWE Group Business Solutions. He will report to Egle Juzenaite in future. Dieter Nickel will retire on 1 July 2026.
Nils Heinrichs
Nils Heinrichs, Purchasing Manager Own Brand Dry Assortment/Beverages, will take over responsibility for the Own Brand Fresh/Frozen Food division on 1 January. Nils Heinrichs started as a buyer after completing his trainee programme at Edeka. in 2014, he moved to REWE Group as Senior Buyer PENNY International. From 2018, he was responsible for the nutritional products, dried fruit, international delicatessen and non-refrigerated delicatessen product groups in the full-range as Senior Category Buyer. in 2020, he took over the Own Brand Beverages/Organic/Nearfood product area as Purchasing Manager. in 2024, he moved to his current area of responsibility.
Sarah Mevißen
Sarah Mevißen, Senior Buyer Own Brand Beverages, will also take over responsibility for the Own Brand Dry Assortment/Beverages product area as Purchasing Manager on 1 January. Following her trainee programme, Sarah Mevißen started as a buyer at Edeka. Most recently, she was responsible for the drugstore brand department. in 2021, she moved to REWE Group Buying as Senior Buyer Organic Dry Goods, and in 2022 she took on the same role in Organic Fresh/Frozen/Food. She has been in her current role since 2024.
Bartholomew Malcherek
Bartholomäus Malcherek, Purchasing Manager Own Brand Fresh/Frozen Food, will take over responsibility for the Ultra Fresh 2 Meat & Sausage product area at the same time. Malcherek started as a trainee in REWE Group's Purchasing department in 2011. He then took on various roles, initially in Strategic Purchasing as a buyer for frozen foods, and later as Senior Buyer Own Brand for the Chocolate, Seasonal, Sweet Biscuits & Snacks division. He has been in his current role since 2019.
Thorsten Kraft
Thorsten Kraft, Purchasing Manager for Ultrafresh 2 Meat & Sausage, has asked to change his area of responsibility within the private label. As of 1 January, he will be responsible for the nutritional products division as Senior Buyer. Kraft joined our company as a Buyer on 1 August 2012. He has been responsible for the fresh meat purchasing area as Senior Buyer since 2014. he took on his current role in 2020.
Vincent Schröder
On 1 February next year, Vincent Schröder will take over the management of the Own Brand Beverages department as Senior Buyer Beverages. Schröder has been part of our company since January 2024, where he started as a Buyer Cheese. On 1 January 2025, he moved to the Ultrafish 2 Meat & Sausage department in the Sausage product group. In future, Vincent Schröder will report to Sarah Mevißen, Purchasing Manager Own Brand Dry Assortment/Beverages.
Drasko Lazovic, Florian Naegele
Florian Naegele has been CEO of PENNY Czech Republic since August 2023, having previously held various management positions for PENNY in Germany and abroad since 2013. He has now decided to leave the company for personal reasons to take on a new challenge. Drasko Lazovic succeeded Florian Naegele as CEO on 1 November. Lazovic joined REWE digital in July 2014 as Head of Expansion, Networks and Formats. He had been COO Penny Czech Republic since 2023. Lazovic will continue to report to Michael Jäger, Divisional Director PENNY International.
Boris Raoul
Since 1 November, Boris Raoulhas been responsible for the management of both national companies as the new CEO of DERTOUR Germany and Austria. He also takes on the role of Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of the DERTOUR Group. Boris Raoul reports to Christoph Debus, CEO DERTOUR Group and Divisional Director Travel and Tourism. With over two decades of management experience, Boris Raoul is one of the top managers in the industry, combining in-depth knowledge of the tour operator business with technological expertise.
Georg Welbers, Andreas Heimann
On 1 June 2026, Dr Georg Welbers will become Chief Sales Officer of DERTOUR Germany. He succeeds Andreas Heimann, who is moving into an advisory role after 34 years of service. In addition to own sales, Welbers will also be responsible for external sales partners from the German travel agency landscape in the future. Georg Welbers has been Managing Director for Sales and Marketing at Alltours since 2020 - a role he currently still holds before moving to DERTOUR in June next year. In assuming his future role, Georg Welbers will report to Boris Raoul, CEO DERTOUR Germany and Austria.
Karl J. Pojer, Ingo Burmester
Mark Tantz, Managing Director Operations, has decided to move to an advisory role at the end of May 2026 after 15 years. From now on, Tantz will act as Senior Advisor for the company and continue to support strategic projects. Executive Board member Dr Ingo Burmester took over the management of the hotel business from Karl J. Pojer as CEO DERTOUR Hotel Division on 1 November. DERTOUR has emphasised the importance of the hotel business as a strategic growth area by creating a separate department on the Executive Board. Burmester has been with the DERTOUR Group since 2019. As CEO Central Europe, he was responsible for the regions of Germany, Austria and Switzerland. He has been a member of the Executive Board of the DERTOUR Group since 2022. Ingo Burmester will continue to report to Christoph Debus, CEO DERTOUR Group and Divisional Director Travel and Tourism.
