Volker Treude, Bernd Kaffenberger Volker Treude, Management Director Retailers and SAS Chairman of the SAS Central region, will step down from his position on 30 September in order to focus exclusively on the management and control of his markets again. Treude has held the position of Management Director Retailers since November 2018. He will be succeeded on 1 September by Bernd Kaffenberger as Retailer Management in the Central region and as the new Chairman of the regional SAS. Bernd Kaffenberger began his career at REWE in 2001, has been an independent merchant since 2014 and a member of the Supervisory Board of REWE Hungen eG since 2022.

Jana Sanktjohanser, Andreas Bergenthal On 1 September, Jana Sanktjohanser, 41, took over responsibility for the area of the same name in the Digital & Technology Management Board division as Head of Projects & Organisational Development. She reports to Christoph Eltze, Chief Digital and Technology Officer. Jana Sanktjohanser succeeds Andreas Bergenthal, who has held the position of Head of Transformation at REWE digital since 1 May of this year. Jana Sanktjohanser joined PENNY Markt GmbH on 1 July 2015 as a project assistant in the Marketing department, where she also took over the coordination of Group Marketing. In March 2018, she moved to REWE Deutscher Supermarkt AG & Co KGaA, where she took on the role of Head of Marketing Insights & Support in May 2020. After moving to REWE Markt GmbH in July 2021 as Project Manager Pick & GO in the COO REWE Project Management Office, she has been responsible as Lead in the REWE full-range national sales department since August 2024.
