Ron Schreyer heads Technology and Solutions

Ron Schreyer On 1 January, Ron Schreyer, 45, took over the role of Head of HR Technology & Solutions in HR Operations. He reports to the Head of HR Operations, Jens Rabbe. Before joining REWE Group, Ron Schreyer held various management positions, most recently as Global Head of HR Core & SAP SuccessFactors at RWE AG. With Ron Schreyer's start, Joachim Pleiß will assume responsibility for all employee-related topics within the HR IT products.

Patrick Abromeit is Head of Investment Management

Patrick Abromeit Patrick Abromeit, 31, also took over the role of Head of Investment & Venture Management in the M&A/Investment Management division on 1 January. He reports to the Head of M&A/Investment Management. Patrick Abromeit joined REWE-ZENTRALFINANZ eG/Cologne on 1 January 2020 as a (Project) Consultant in the M&A/Investment Management division and has successfully developed within various functions, including as Project Manager and most recently as Project Lead

Jan-Lenard Kötz heads REWE strategy

Jan-Lenard Kötz Jan-Lenard Kötz, 34, was promoted to Head of on 1 January. He is responsible for the Retail Germany REWE Strategy team within the Strategy & Consulting division. Kötz has been part of the Retail Germany strategy team since 2023 and was most recently responsible for REWE strategy topics in a lead role. Before joining the strategy team, he had been in charge of various topics and projects as Project Manager Consulting in Inhouse Consulting since 2019. Before joining the REWE Group, Jan-Lenard Kötz gained two years of experience in an external management consultancy. Kötz will continue to report to Philipp Schachten, Head of Strategy & Consulting Retail Germany.

Dominik Hermanns succeeds Rico Schwitalla

Julia Woker, Rico Schwitalla On 1 January, Dominik Hermanns, 38, took over as Senior Category Buyer (SCB) SB-Wurst from Rico Schwitalla, 61, who moved to Eching on the same date to take over responsibility as SCB CM/EK from Julia Woker in the Category Management South team.

Julia Woker moves to Cologne at the same time and succeeds Dominik Herrmanns as SCB Bread, Bakery Products/Back Off. Rico Schwitalla reports to Bernd Kinzig, Head of CM/EK regional PENNY, Julia Woker and Dominik Herrmanns to the Purchasing Manager Ronny Grohe.

Nicolas Retzke replaces Markus Meinke

Nicolas Retzke, Markus Meinke On 1 February, Nicolas Retzke, 32,, will start as Senior Category Buyer Baking, Oils, Vinegars after successfully completing his induction. He succeeds Markus Meinke, 40, who has a degree in food technology and already has purchasing experience from various positions. Most recently, he worked as Purchasing Manager at Lidl.

Josefine Eibl succeeds Sabrina Schmidt

Josefine Eibl, Sabrina Schmidt Markus Meinke will take over responsibility as SCB Spices, Tinned Foods, Ready Meals wet and dry, succeeding Josefine Eibl, 32. Markus Meinke and Nicolas Retzke will report to Nina Schäfer, Purchasing Manager Dry Assortment 2 & Drugstore. As a result, Josefine Eibl will change areas and will be responsible for the non-alcoholic beverages product group as SCB. She succeeds Sabrina Schmidt, who will take over from Johanna Brenninkmeyer as SCB Wine, Sparkling Wine, Spirits. Josefine Eibl and Sabrina Schmidt will report to Marcus Pratsch, Purchasing Manager Dry Assortment 1 & Beverages. Johanna Brenninkmeyer is leaving the company. She has decided to take up another Master's degree programme.

John David Neuhaus becomes sales department management

John David Neuhaus John David Neuhaus, 42, Sales Manager REWE Region North, will take over the function of Managing Director Sales as of 1 March. In his new role, he will report to Jochen Vogel, Chairman of the Management of the Northern Region. Neuhaus, a sales expert with many years of experience, is taking on this task. After training as a retail salesman at REWE, John David Neuhaus gained sales experience, including as store manager, district manager and sales manager as well as national sales manager at nahkauf. He has been in his current position since 2020.

DERTOUR Group
Christoph Debus becomes CEO

Christoph Debus On 1 March, Christoph Debus, 53, will become CEO of the DERTOUR Group. As Chairman of the Executive Board of the DERTOUR Group, Debus will lead the international tourism group with over 10,000 employees together with Dr Ingo Burmester, CEO Central Europe; Patrick Lambertz, CFO since 1 January, and Leif Vase Larsen, CEO International. Debus will also be a member of REWE Group's extended Management Board team as Divisional Director for Travel and Tourism - similar to those responsible for the strategic business units (such as PENNY, Lekkerland, toom, BILLA). In this new function, he will report directly to the CEO of the REWE Group, Lionel Souque. The Management Board of REWE Group thus emphasises the strong role of the tourism unit and strengthens its management team in its operational and strategic clout.

Christoph Debus has more than 30 years of experience in the mobility and travel industry. Most recently, he has been Group CFO of Flix SE since 2022. He started his career at Roland Berger and subsequently held positions including CFO of Condor Flugdienst GmbH, CCO and COO of Air Berlin, CEO of Thomas Cook PLC Group Airlines and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Serviceware SE. After three years as Managing Director of Condor Airline Group, he joined Flix SE as Group CFO in 2022.
