Christoph Matschke changes department

I Photo: Stefan Gergel Christoph Matschke, who has been responsible for International Business Solutions on the Management Board of REWE International AG since 2017, has decided on the best of terms with the Supervisory Board and the Management Board not to extend his contract, which expires in 2024, in order to devote himself to a new entrepreneurial career. Matschke will be responsible for a project in the department of REWE Group CFO Telerik Schischmanow as Executive Advisor from January 2024. Christoph Matschke has been a member of the Management Board of REWE International AG and Divisional Director of REWE Group since January 2017. He began his professional career at REWE Group in 2000 as a project manager. The business graduate - Matschke holds a degree in business administration from the University of Münster - was appointed country coach for PENNY International in 2002. He then took over as Head of Controlling and Accounting at PENNY National and PENNY International. Before being appointed to the Management Board of REWE International in 2017, Christoph Matschke was responsible for PENNY International as Commercial Director.

Stephan Hoppe succeeds Norbert Hülsken

Stephan Hoppe, currently Head of Business Administration Projects & Strategy, took over the management of the newly created Group Financial Reporting functional area on 1 October. Among other things, he will take over the responsibilities of Norbert Hülsken as Head of Group Accounting, who will begin his partial retirement on 1 December. Stephan Hoppe will continue to report to Dirk Kühn, Head of Business Administration. Hoppe joined REWE Group in June 2016 as an auditor in the Group Audit department. On 1 January 2019, he moved to the Business Administration division as Head of Projects & Strategy. The changed functional area of Group Financial Reporting will be reorganised under the management of Stephan Hoppe.
Stefan Caspers Stefan Caspers, currently Programme Manager, took over as Head of Business Administration Projects & Strategy on 1 October. He also continues to report to Dirk Kühn. Stefan Caspers joined the former REWE Information Systems division in November 2013 as Programme Manager (Head of level). In October 2018, he moved to the Organisation Business Administration department as Head of.

Mathias Ollmann heads project management

On 1 October, Dr Mathias Ollmann took over the role of Head of Strategic Project Management in the Ware Ultrafrische 2 / Production division. Mathias Ollmann joined REWE Zentralfinanz eG in February 2017 as Project Manager in the Investment Management Mergers & Acquisition (M&A) division and has since been actively involved in various functions in significant changes within the Group. Among other things, he was a member of the deal team for the Lekkerland acquisition. As Head of Investment Management M&A III, he has been responsible for all Group-internal restructuring projects for the last three years. In his new role, Mr Ollmann will report to Ulf Klewitz, Head of Ware Ultrafrische 2 / Production.

Christian Grotowsky leaves the company

Christian Grotowsky Christian Grotowsky, Senior Vice President Corporate IT and member of the management of Lekkerland and Managing Director of Lekkerland information systems, has announced his departure to pursue a new professional challenge. He will leave the company at the end of June 2024.
