
Daniel Jäger, Benjamin Krapp
Dr Daniel Jäger, 36, has headed the VS Logistics Development Delivery Service division since the beginning of the year. He took over from Dr Frank Schneider, who left the company at his own request at the end of March. Jäger's previous responsibilities will be taken over by Benjamin Krapp, 41, who was appointed Head of VS Commercial on 1 April. Krapp previously worked at Frosta AG as Head of Marketing, Digitalisation & Business Development Foodservice.
Alexandra Maier, Roland Kraemer
On 1 April, Alexandra Maier, 48, took over the role of Head of HR Services Occupational Health and Safety in the CoE Personnel Management division. She reports to Dr Philip Merten, Head of CoE Personnel Management. Alexandra Maier joined REWE Deutscher Supermarkt AG & Co. KGaA in November 2018. Since then, she has held the position of Head of Occupational Health and Safety for the Southern Region. Roland Kraemer, who previously headed the HR Service Occupational Health and Safety (H HMG) department, will take over central tasks in committee work at the employers' liability insurance association as Senior Consultant Social Affairs for REWE Group and will also become Inclusion Officer. He will continue to report to Philip Merten.
Massimo Mosna has been responsible for the UX/UI division of REWE digital as Head of User Experience since 1 March. This brings together the teams from his previous area of responsibility and the UX/UI team members from Sebastian Linz's previous area of responsibility. Mosna joined REWE digital in September 2014 and has been Head of User Experience since May 2016. He reports to Stefan Matzelle.
From 1 May,Steffen Schmidt will assume responsibility as Senior Buying Director for the Dry Assortment 2 (TroSo2), which was previously managed by Axel Bolten in conjunction with the Beverages Division and the Wine Competence Centre. The Senior Category Buyers Simon Offermann, Daniel Brune and Ingo Lübke will report to Steffen Schmidt. In addition, the Omnichannel Category Development department will be reassigned to TroSo2 under the management of Matthias Sinn. Schmidt will also assume responsibility for the REWE Bio brand as Brand Manager. In this role, he is also responsible for cooperation and coordination with the organic farming associations. Steffen Schmidt started his career at REWE Group in 2007 in international purchasing. After a brief period at Ahold, he moved to Edeka as a buyer in 2012. in 2016, he moved to Lidl as Purchasing Manager for the fresh meat, fresh poultry, frozen meat and vegan product groups. Schmidt reports to Daniel Kniel, managing directors of full-range goods.
On 1 April, Torben Sasse joined REWE Group Buying as Senior Category Buyer and took over the management of the sausage product group in the Ultrafresh 2 full-range product area. Sasse most recently worked as National Key Account Manager at Rügenwalder Mühle and previously as Assortment Manager/Buyer of Sausages and Tinned Meat at Edeka in Hamburg. He reports to Markus vom Stein, Head of Goods Full-range Ultrafresh 2.
Max-Peter Droll, Eva Schlosser
DER Travel and Tourism Group's Hotel Division is positioning itself for further expansion with a new management team. The hotel division, which was founded in 2021, has recently experienced strong growth - partly due to the complete takeover of the premium club brand Aldiana. Against this backdrop, Georg Schmickler, CEO of DER Travel and Tourism Group Hotel Division, has expanded his management team. Max-Peter Droll has joined the management team of the DER Travel and Tourism Group Hotel Division as Chief Financial Officer and is therefore responsible for the financial area in a dual function for the Aldiana Group and the Hotel Division. Droll, who was CEO of Aldiana from 2015 to 2018, returned to the Aldiana managing directors in June 2022. He was previously managing director of QR Quality Reservations, a provider of online distribution solutions in the hotel industry. Another new addition is Eva Schlosser, Senior Vice President Revenue Management, who has been in charge of operational revenue management in the Hotel Division since August 2022. Eva Schlosser has built up the Revenue Management division at DER Travel and Tourism Deutschland GmbH since 2018 and will now head the revenue management of the tour operators of DER Travel and Tourism Deutschland as well as the hotel division in a dual function. Before joining DER Travel and Tourism in 2018, Eva Schlosser held various management positions at FTI for more than twelve years.
Christian Grage, Markus R. Kempen
The two managing directors responsible for the brand, Christian Grage and Markus R. Kempen, will assume operational responsibility for the hotel operations. Christian Grage has been Managing Director of DER Travel and Tourism Hotels & Resorts GmbH since 2016. With many years of international experience in the management and development of business and resort hotels, he is responsible for the Calimera, COOEE, Sentido and Playitas brands and will also oversee the new lifestyle hotel brand, which launches this summer. Before joining DER Travel and Tourism, Grage worked for Hilton Worldwide for five years as Vice President Operations for Egypt and Dubai.
Markus R. Kempen, Managing Director Playitas Resorts from 2016 to 2023 and Managing Director Aldiana since 2022, is a proven club hotel expert and is responsible for the Aldiana brand. Kempen joined DER Travel and Tourism from Robinson Club, where he was most recently President and General Manager of the Robinson Clubs in Morocco.
