
Hanno Rieger, Andreas Schmidt
Andreas Schmidt, 60, CEO of REWE Dortmund since 2014, has decided not to extend his contract once it has been fulfilled. He will leave the company at the end of the year. Hanno Rieger, 55, Chairman of the management of REWE Region West, will take over the position of CEO from Andreas Schmidt. Rieger joined REWE in 2014 and succeeded Andreas Schmidt as Chairman of the Management Board South West when he moved to his current position at REWE Dortmund. hanno Rieger then moved to the REWE West region in 2018. He can look back on a long career in food retail, including several years at Migros. From 2000 to 2013, he worked for Lidl in several regional and international management positions, including as CEO in Slovenia and Austria.
Lars Klein
Rieger succeeds Lars Klein, 42, who will join REWE on 1 July and take on the role of Chairman of the Management Board REWE West after completing his induction. He will report to Peter Maly, REWE Group Management Board member and COO REWE. Lars Klein held various management roles in the sales department before moving to Aldi Süd as Group Buying Director in Central Purchasing. As Managing Director Buying, he later took over Central Purchasing there, before becoming Managing Director Customer Interaction Marketing, Communications Sustainability and E- Commerce.
Tobias Hoffmann, Nadine Hauser
Nadine Hauser, 39, currently Head of Project Management Office Full-range National, began her induction as Head of Category Management on 1 March. Following work shadowing in various areas, she is expected to take up her position in the Southern Region in June. Tobias Hoffmann, 40, will take over from Nadine Hauser as Head of Project Management Office Sales Department REWE on 1 May. Hoffmann has been working in Inhouse Consulting at REWE Group since 2015. In this role, he was initially responsible for numerous major strategic projects with a particular focus on the REWE sales department and digitalisation, initially as a project manager and since 2020 as Head of.
Alexandra Ramroth-Bell has been promoted to Head of Sales & Supplier Communication following her return from parental leave on 1 March. She continues to report to Bastian Tassew, Head of CRM & Owned Media. Alexandra Ramroth-Bell joined REWE Markt GmbH in July 2018 as Lead for Offer Communication and was responsible for the further development of offer communication as well as POS and supplier communication during this time.
Walter Wolf
Walter Wolf took over the position of COO of BILLA Bulgaria on 1 March. Together with Vygintas Sapokas (CEO) and Vania Dineva (CFO), he forms the management team of BILLA Bulgaria. At the same time, Vincent van Schagen will become CFO of BILLA Czech Republic and will form the Czech management team together with Liam Casey (CEO) and Andreas Jüterbock (COO). Both teams will report to Divisional Director Espen B. Larsen, while the CFOs will report to Divisional Director Christoph Matschke. Walter Wolf began his career in 2008 as a sales manager at Lidl Germany after studying economics at the University of Siegen. in 2009, he moved to Lidl Bulgaria as Operations Manager. After holding several positions in Switzerland and Germany, Wolf worked as Head of Operational Logistics International at the Lidl Foundation from 2015 to 2017. From 2017 to 2018, he made a stopover as Managing Director of Lidl France before being appointed Managing Director Logistics/SCM at Kaufland Bulgaria. In this role, he was responsible for the warehouse in Plovdiv and the supply chain in Bulgaria. At the end of 2021, Walter Wolf was appointed CEO Kaufland Bulgaria. Vincent van Schagen began his career in 1999 at BDO in the Netherlands. From 2007 to 2010, the native Dutchman held various positions at Asics Europe. In the following nine years, Vincent van Schagen worked for Opticon Sensors Europe, the first years as Finance Manager. he was appointed CFO in 2014. In this role, he was responsible for the day-to-day business on a strategic and operational level for 17 subsidiaries. From 2019 to 2022, Vincent van Schagen was Principal at The CFO Centre in Toronto. As interim CFO, he supported companies in the professionalisation of finance departments and the implementation of corporate strategies. Ilse Holzer, CFO of BILLA Czech Republic since 2018, will take a sabbatical of several months following the handover of the division to Vincent van Schagen.
Kai Pataky, Mike Podobrin
The managing directors of PENNY Austria, who are responsible for 309 locations and 2,900 employees, are reorganising. Mario Märzinger, Managing Director with responsibility for Marketing, Purchasing, Controlling, Organisation, Strategy and Project Management since July 2020, will leave the company on 31 July at his own request to take on new professional challenges. Ralf Teschmit , who has been Managing Director for many years, will continue to support the induction of his future colleagues until the autumn before he too wishes to move on to new challenges. Mike Podobrin, 54,will start on 1 May with his induction into the role of Mario Märzinger. The business administration graduate has held several positions in purchasing, marketing and strategy consulting, including at the former Karstadt Warenhaus GmbH and as Senior Director Sales & Marketing at Metro Cash & Carry. He has been Head of Strategic Marketing at PENNY International since January 2016. He will report to Michael Jäger, Divisional Director Retail International/PENNY International. Kai Pataky will also return to Vienna on 1 May to take over from Ralf Teschmit. Pataky started his career at REWE International AG in July 2007. After starting out as a sales trainee, he became regional and sales manager for BILLA and then sales director for BIPA, from where he was appointed managing director and most recently CEO of BIPA Croatia in November 2019. As Managing Director of PENNY Austria, he will also report to Michael Jäger in future. Following Pataky's departure, the management of BIPA Croatia will be taken over by CEO Tina Jurjevic and CFO Marijan Boskovic .
Stephanie Schulze zur Wiesch, Dieter Zümpel
As of 1 June, Stephanie Schulze<font face="TradeGothicNextLTPro-Rg, Verdana"> </font>zur Wiesch will take over the management of DER Travel and Tourism Suisse AG from Dieter Zümpel. This means that responsibility for the market-leading Swiss tourism company with over 900 employees, tour operators such as Kuoni, Helvetic Tours and ten specialist tour operators, as well as the sales business with over 70 travel agencies, will pass into new hands. After six successful years at the helm of the company, Dieter Zümpel will return to Germany at the end of June when he reaches the statutory retirement age. However, he will continue to be available to DER Travel and Tourism Group in an advisory capacity after his departure. Zümpel joined DER Travel and Tourism Suisse in 2016, shortly after DER Travel and Tourism Group acquired Kuoni Reise AG. With Stephanie Schulze zur Wiesch, an excellently networked Travel and Tourism manager with over 20 years of industry experience is coming on board. After completing her business studies in tourism at the University of Paderborn, Schulze zur Wiesch began her career at TUI Deutschland in 1999. Until 2020, the manager held various management positions within the TUI Group. Schulze zur Wiesch took over as Head of Marketing at TUI Deutschland in 2013, was responsible for Transformation and Strategy from 2015 and was also responsible for TUI Hotelbrands and the luxury brand Airtours until 2017. Following her position as CEO of the TUI Group's round trip and holiday home specialist, Atraveo GmbH & Wolters Reisen GmbH, Schulze zur Wiesch moved to the rail travel expert Ameropa as Managing Director in 2020.
