Jens Krieger hands over to Florian Naegele

Jens Krieger, Florian Naegele On 1 September, Jens Krieger handed over his role as CEO of PENNY Czech Republic to Florian Naegele . Krieger will take on a management role at REWE Dortmund. As of 1 December, the Wuppertal native will head the sales department there as business unit manager and authorised signatory and report to the CEO of REWE Dortmund. His induction into the new role began on 1 September in the REWE West region. Krieger, who holds a degree in business administration, brings his many years of expertise as CEO of the two national companies in Hungary and the Czech Republic to REWE Dortmund, as well as his knowledge of the retail competitors from his management activities before joining REWE Group in 2009.

Zydre Zimmermann comes in for Oliver Bennemann

Zydre Zimmermann On 1 September, Zydre Zimmermann took over the role of Head of Quality Management Non Food in the Ware Quality Management Operative 1 division, succeeding Oliver Bennemann, who left the company in May. After studying business administration, Zydre Zimmermann worked in a management consultancy. She has worked for the REWE Group since August 2012, where she held various positions in the PENNY sales department. in 2019, she moved to Quality Management, where she most recently worked as a Quality Management Officer. In her new role, Zimmermann reports to Dr Juliane Falzmann, Director Quality Management.

Daniel Schwing heads Retail Media sales department

As Head of Retail Media Sales,Daniel Schwing took over responsibility for managing the Retail Media sales team for marketing the service portfolio with numerous digital and analogue marketing spaces for our industry cooperation partners on 1 September. In his new role, he reports to the Head of Customer Insights & Media, Christian Raveaux. Before joining the REWE Group, Daniel Schwing was most recently Head of Client Sales at Ströer SE & Co. KGaA, where he was entrusted with similar responsibilities.

Benjamin Boesch heads Group Strategy

Benjamin Boesch Benjamin Boesch took over as SVP Group Strategy at DER Travel and Tourism on 1 September. He reports to Boris Schnabel, CFO of DER Travel and Tourism Group. Boesch, who began his career as a consultant at Roland Berger, has held management positions in the tourism industry for over ten years. He started his career in Travel and Tourism at Kuoni Travel in Zurich, which is now part of DER Travel and Tourism Suisse. Here, he was in charge of international strategy, transformation and innovation projects for almost five years. After founding an online start-up, Boesch moved to Dubai in 2016, where he initially worked as VP Digital Transformation for the Jumeirah Group. in 2018, he moved to VFS Global, the world's largest specialist in visa outsourcing for government clients, as Head of Transformation and Chief Digital Officer. Most recently, he supported several companies with strategy and market entry projects.
