Start of training
Every year, thousands of young people start their careers at REWE Group with an apprenticeship or dual study programme - and the number is constantly growing. With well over 10,000 trainees, we are one of the largest training organisations in Germany.

Green Week
For nine days, we were guests at the Green Week in Berlin with our sales divisions and the Competence Centre for Agriculture. From 19 to 28 January, our focus at the leading international trade fair for food and agriculture was on direct dialogue with producers, politicians and consumers.
REWE Group jubilarians
If that's not a positive record: all those celebrating anniversaries at REWE Group's Central locations totalled 5,230 years of service - more than ever before. The reason for this record is a welcome innovation: for the first time, colleagues from toom were also honoured at the end of November in Cologne's Wolkenburg.
B2Run/health management
With 700 employees, REWE Group had the largest group of runners at the B2Run company run in Cologne, with a total of around 1,000 nationwide. For most of them, running (and running) as a team with their colleagues was more important than their own fitness.
10 years of di.to.
150 employees and guests celebrated the tenth anniversary of REWE Group's own LGBTIQ network di.to in Cologne on 18 August.
Recycled PET
At REWE Group, we have set up a closed loop for disposable drinks bottles on a trial basis. Our Circular Economy project creates security of supply for suppliers and helps us to achieve our recycling targets.
Annual General Meeting
The general conditions for the retail industry have rarely been as challenging as they were last year. Nevertheless, REWE Group mastered the situation and once again achieved a good result, which the Management Board and Supervisory Board recently presented at the Annual General Meeting in Berlin.
Come together Cup
On 28 May, 84 teams competed in the "Football Festival of Diversity" in Cologne. Among them: REWE Group as the main sponsor with the di.to. kickers and CEO Lionel Souque at the celebrity fun kick.

Fiscal year 2021
REWE Group successfully closed the 2021 financial year with strong sales growth of around two billion euros, once again demonstrating its strong performance under the challenging conditions of the coronavirus pandemic. External revenue from continuing operations increased by 2.5 per cent from 74.6 billion to 76.5 billion euros.

Personnel in January
Two long-serving colleagues, Michael Lubahn and Toni Kiel, are retiring. REWE businessman Lutz Michalik is also taking his leave.
