The contracts of REWE International AG Management Board members Marcel Haraszti and Michael Jäger were extended early by the Supervisory Board until the end of 2028, thus confirming the confidence in the successful work of the REWE International AG Management Board team. The contract of Espen B. Larsen, who took over responsibility for the full-range business in Eastern Europe (BILLLA, IKI) at the beginning of 2021, was already extended last year and runs until the end of 2026.
"The solid basis of trust and the consistently positive and constructive cooperation with my colleagues were decisive for the early extension of my contract. I am convinced that with Marcel Haraszti, Michael Jäger and Espen B. Larsen, we have the right Management Board team in place to further develop our Austrian and international activities in a challenging competitive environment. In recent years, we have made and successfully implemented important decisions in Austria and our other markets with great commitment and passion. Our organisation is well positioned, our trading companies are developing very well in Austria and internationally, and we are intensifying our targeted investments in Austria, Central and Eastern Europe and Italy. We are determined to continue this growth course with full vigour and stability. The Management Board of REWE International AG:
Marcel Haraszti (49) has been on the Management Board of REWE International AG since the beginning of 2017 and is responsible for BILLA, BIPA and ADEG in Austria, BIPA Croatia, the jö Bonus Club, Logistics, People and Culture and Corporate Communications.
Michael Jäger (53) is responsible for the PENNY International division, consisting of the discount business in Italy, Austria, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Romania, and has been a member of the Management Board of REWE International AG since 2013.
Espen B. Larsen (53) completed the Management Board trio at the beginning of 2021. His area of responsibility includes the full-range in Central and Eastern Europe and thus BILLA in Bulgaria, Slovakia and the Czech Republic, as well as IKI in Lithuania.
