Stephanie Kübbeler takes over from Frank Darenberg

Stephanie Kübbeler Stephanie Kübbeler, 41, joined the company as Head of Procurement Logistics on 1 November last year. She reports to Birgit Heitzer, Head of REWE Procurement Logistics and Services. Since 1 May, Stephanie Kübbeler has been gradually taking over the responsibilities of the current post holder Frank Darenberg. Kübbeler has more than 20 years of professional experience in the logistics sector. Most recently, she was Head of Supply Chain Management at Burnhard GmbH in Düsseldorf. Frank Darenberg will retire on 1 September after more than 28 years with the company. With his extensive experience, reliability and commitment, he has had a decisive influence on the establishment and further development of procurement logistics.

Strategy & Consulting
Christian Grözinger comes in for Jian Khaladj

Jian Khaladj Christian Grözinger was appointed Head of Inhouse Consulting on 1 May. He succeeds Jian Khaladj, 37, who is now Head of Store-Based eCommerce in the E-Commerce REWE Full-range National division. Christian Grözinger is responsible for Project Team 2 within Inhouse Consulting. Since April 2021, he has been part of REWE Group's Inhouse Consulting as a Senior Consultant, where he was most recently Senior Project Manager. He was responsible for projects in various areas of the company. In his new role, Christian Grözinger reports to Lara-Christina Sell, Head of Strategy & Consulting.

Markus Bobenhausen is responsible for fruit

Markus Bobenhausen Under the management of Marc Rademacher, the Ultrafresh Produce 1 division will focus even more strongly on the procurement of goods right up to the producer in future and is pushing ahead with a reorganisation in this context. An additional purchasing manager position was created on 1 May in order to organise the "Fruit and Vegetables" area of responsibility into the "Fruit" and "Vegetables/Cut Flowers" areas of responsibility. Since 1 May, Markus Bobenhausen has concentrated exclusively on the fruit area. He continues to report to Marc Rademacher.

Patricia Hirsch is Head of Purchasing Vegetables and Cut Flowers

Patricia Hirsch At the same time, Patricia Hirsch, 41, Purchasing Manager Discount Ultrafresh 1, will take over the newly created position of "Vegetables and Cut Flowers", where she will contribute her knowledge and experience from category management. She will also report to Marc Rademacher. Benjamin Wölk, Purchasing Manager Discount Fresh, also took over the Discount Ultra Fresh 1 area on 1 May in addition to his previous area of responsibility following the transfer of Patricia Hirsch. Nina Schäfer, Purchasing Manager Discount Dry Assortment 2 & Drugstore, has taken over responsibility for the frozen food and convenience/prepared foods/butter/fats/vegan product areas from Benjamin Wölk.

Claudia Fergens succeeds Kai Oberschmidt

Claudia Fergens Claudia Fergens, 40, Head of Category Management Partner Performance & Promotion Management Services, took over responsibility as Head of Category Management Support Discount from Kai Oberschmidt on 1 May. She reports to René Plasman, Head of Ware Discount and member of the REWE Group Buying managing directors. Claudia Fergens joined the Western Region as PENNY District Manager in 2008. in 2011, she took on the role of Senior Promotions Manager PENNY and became Area Manager in 2016. in 2017, she was appointed Head of the Promotion Management function. Claudia Fergens has been in her current role since 2021. Kai Oberschmidt left the company on 30 April for personal reasons in order to take on new professional challenges.

BILLA Austria and Bulgaria
Michael Paterno is Director DRCL

Michael Paterno took over the role of Director DRCL (Digital, Research, Consulting, Loyalty) at REWE International AG on 1 May. David Renker, previously Director International Digital Sales, will move to BILLA Bulgaria as COO on 1 June. With the transfer of Michael Paterno as the new Director DRCL, the division will be expanded to include key areas of responsibility. In addition to Inhouse Consulting and Market Research, International Digital Sales and the BILLA BIPA International staff unit will be integrated into DRCL. In addition, the managing directors of the jö Bonus Club will report to Paterno in future. Michael Paterno joined the REWE Group in Cologne in 2011. He was a member of the BIPA Managing Directors from 2016 to 2020 before being appointed to the Management Board of BILLA Austria. Most recently, he was responsible for Consumer & Insights at BILLA. In his new role, he is responsible for the Digital division on an international level, drives the further development of key strategic projects and takes over the management of market research agendas.

David Renker replaces Walter Wolf

Walter Wolf On 1 June,David Renker will take on a central role in the international retail business as COO of BILLA Bulgaria, where he will be responsible for the sales department, logistics and technical central purchasing. His predecessor Walter Wolf and the company have mutually agreed to terminate his employment contract. David Renker joined the REWE Group in Germany in 2013, where he held various management positions and contributed to the establishment and further development of the REWE delivery service. At the end of 2021, he moved to BILLA Austria, where he drove the e-commerce business forward. Most recently, he was responsible for International Digital Sales as Director.

Travel and Tourism
Mark Tantz becomes CEO of DERTOUR Austria

Mark Tantz Mark Tantz, currently COO of DERTOUR Central Europe GmbH, will become CEO of DERTOUR Austria GmbH on 1 June. In Austria, the DERTOUR Group is represented by established brands such as Billa Reisen, DERTOUR, Meiers Weltreisen, JAHN-Reisen and TRANSAIR and is one of the leading tourism companies. Mark Tantz will initially manage DERTOUR Austria, based in Wiener Neudorf, together with the current Managing Director Martin Fast , who will gradually retire from managing directorship after 28 years and hand over to Mark Tantz. Fast has been working for the group in a managerial capacity since 1998. He helped set up ITS BILLA Reisen, was Managing Director of REWE Austria Travel and Tourism GmbH and also took over as Managing Director of DERTOUR Austria GmbH in 2020. These two companies have been merged within DERTOUR Austria GmbH since 2023. DERTOUR Austria GmbH employs over 100 people at its locations in Vienna and Salzburg. Mark Tantz continues to report to Boris Raoul, Group CTO and CEO of the DERTOUR Group in Germany and Austria.
