Change in marketing and e-commerce

Elke Wilgmann returns to Germany and is responsible for marketing as a member of the REWE management. Clemens Bauer will take over the e-commerce division as a member of the REWE management from March. And Drasko Lazovic moves to PENNY Czech Republic as COO.

Elke Wilgmann started her career at REWE Group over 20 years ago in the strategy department of REWE Group. she moved to Austria in 2018, where she is currently responsible for marketing, strategy, sustainability and e-commerce as a member of the BILLA Consumer Management Board. Before moving to BILLA Austria, she had already been responsible for marketing at REWE for three years.

Clemens Bauer, who has been responsible for marketing at REWE since 2020, will take over the e-commerce division as a member of REWE's management from 1 March. After gaining initial experience in industry and consulting, he joined the REWE Group in 2012 as Head of Development & Consulting. in 2016, he moved to ZooRoyal as Managing Director before becoming Head of Marketing at REWE in 2020.

With effect from 1 May, Drasko Lazovic, who has been the management of the REWE delivery/collection service since 2019, will take over the role of COO Penny Czech Republic after a two-month induction period. He succeeds Mathias Mentrop, who is taking on new responsibilities at PENNY International. Drasko Lazovic joined REWE digital in July 2014 as Head of Expansion, Networks and Formats. Before joining REWE digital, he held various positions at METRO Cash & Carry Germany, most recently as Head of Business Model Migration.

Michael Paterno will take over Wilgmann's department from March. From 2011 to 2016, he worked for the REWE Group in various staff functions in Germany and Austria. He was then a member of the managing directors of BIPA before moving to the Management Board of BILLA in 2020. Paterno is responsible for the Insights division at BILLA and thus the Analytics & CRM, Operations and Controlling departments. As part of the reorganisation, the existing departments will be merged into the new "Consumer & Insights" BILLA department.
