The EHI retail institute has presented the REWE Group with the RETA Award in the "Best Enterprise Solution" category. The MeineREWE app for employees in REWE stores was honoured.
The employee app "MeineREWE-App" has been available to all employees in REWE stores since the end of last year. It is an important milestone on our way to making the stores fit for the digital future. The project is part of the SWIM ("Smarter Work in the Market") digitalisation offensive, for which the HR IT, sales departments and REWE digital are working closely together. The employee app is being implemented using technology from the Stuttgart-based company flip.
Together with Carmen Kuhl, IT Business Analyst Expert, he accepted the award on behalf of the SWIM team on 27 February in Düsseldorf. The award ceremony took place as part of EuroCIS, the trade fair for retail technology.
With the RETA Awards, the EHI recognises outstanding technology solutions in the retail sector. Three equally ranked winners are selected in five categories. "The REWE employee app convinced the jury as Best Enterprise Solution because it improves communication between stores and head office, makes work processes more efficient and offers employees a platform for feedback and suggestions for improvement," says Ulrich Spaan, member of the managing directors of the EHI Retail Institute, explaining the decision.
In addition to the MeineREWE app, the SWIM project team is currently working on an employee app for PENNY stores, which will soon be piloted. toom Baumarkt DIY store and Wilhelm Brandenburg are also using flip's technology for digital communication between employees.
