
In a recent customer survey conducted by the German Institute for Service Quality on behalf of ntv, REWE took first place among full-range retailers. A total of ten grocery chains were compared. REWE clearly leads the ranking. The quality rating is "good", the food quality is rated as "very good" and 86% of those surveyed gave it a positive rating. According to the survey, the full-range retailer REWE also stands out from the competition in terms of service and store design. REWE also impressed with the highest willingness to recommend the company to others.
Germany is considered the toughest food retail sector in Europe. Customers expect full-range retailers to offer a wide selection of items, reliable availability and quality of goods as well as favourable prices. The study shows: Those who fulfil these criteria ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. In contrast, the price level remains a sensitive factor for many when choosing their shopping centre. Nevertheless, 92% of customers would remain loyal to their favourite store.
For REWE, the results of the study and its excellent performance in terms of service and store design are proof that it is setting the right priorities: On friendly, motivated and knowledgeable employees who make the difference. On services and digital solutions that make shopping easier. A wide range of products with a leading position in organic, regional and plant-based products. And last but not least, modern, often sustainably built stores with a special ambience and retailers who know their customers and are committed to the local area.
