In Germany, Lekkerland is primarily present and known under the REWE To Go brand. In our neighbouring country Belgium, the convenience division of the REWE Group operates under the name Conway. Its managing directors were recently delighted to receive a special award.

A great honour for Marc Lanneau: the managing director of the Lekkerland national companies in Belgium and the Netherlands has been named "Foodservice Personality of the Year". The prestigious title was awarded to him by the Belgian trade association Gondola. Marc Lanneau was honoured both by a jury of experts and in a public vote.
Award belongs to all employees
"I am delighted to receive this award. It proves that we are on the right track in the further development of the important food service business. At the same time, it is important for me to emphasise that this award recognises the work of all Conway employees who are involved in our food service activities," said Marc Lanneau.
Against the backdrop of far-reaching changes - such as increasing bans and restrictions on the sale of tobacco products - the foodservice business plays an important role for future growth in the Belgian market, alongside traditional wholesale. In order to optimally serve the needs of existing and new customers, Conway recently opened a new warehouse for chilled and frozen products.

Conway supplies over 7,000 points of sale in Belgium - including petrol stations, newsagents, leisure parks, cinemas and fast-food restaurants - with a comprehensive range of food and non-food products. Its strength lies in the combination of wholesale expertise, logistics and personalised customer service, true to its own claim of being "Your most convenient partner".
Conway supports catering businesses in the implementation of their concepts - from product selection to logistics. The company observes market trends, develops new ideas together with its customers and draws on a broad network of manufacturers and partners. The aim is to react flexibly to changes and offer customised solutions.
The jury honoured him..
- for his many years of experience in the industry,
- his strong and valuable network (which includes both customers and industry partners),
- his ability to listen well to customers and partners and to develop Conway Belgium's offers & services accordingly,
- his strong personality, which is humble, friendly and empathetic.
In addition to Germany (REWE To Go), Lekkerland is also active in the Netherlands and, under the name Conway , in Belgium and Spain. In 2024, the company managed around 61,000 points of sale across Europe and employed around 5,800 people. Its revenue totalled around 15.1 billion euros. Lekkerland has been part of the REWE Group since 2020.
