Top Employer 2023 award
by Michaela Thömmes

REWE Group Germany, BILLA Bulgaria and IKI Lithuania have been recognised as "Top Employer 2023".

Focus on employees: REWE Group Germany's outstanding working and development environment will be officially confirmed by the globally recognised Top Employers Institute for the ninth time in a row in 2023. HR areas such as "People Strategy", "Work Environment", "Talent Acquisition", "Learning", "Well-Being" and "Diversity & Inclusion" are reviewed, assessed and evaluated for the Top Employer certificate. "We are proud to have been recognised as a Top Employer once again and for so many years. The criteria are rigorously tested by the institute and we can see that we are already successfully breaking new ground in many HR topics within the organisation. This absolutely strengthens our perception as an employer of choice on the internal and external talent market," says Nicole Ewald, Lead Employer Branding.

The Lithuanian chain IKI, which is part of the REWE Group, is also being recognised as a Top Employer 2023 this year. According to CEO Nijolė Kvietkauskaitė, satisfied employees - of which the chain currently employs almost 6,000 - are and will remain IKI's priority. Continuously strengthening the atmosphere of teamwork and providing real benefits and development opportunities are therefore an integral part of this.

In this way, they collectively enrich the world of work," says David Plink, CEO of the Employer Institute.
