toom is "Best retailer of the year"

For the fourth time in a row, toom has received the "Best Retailer of the Year "* award in the Baumarkt DIY store category. The award is based on a survey conducted by Globis Consulting GmbH, in which German and Austrian consumers submitted more than 140,000 ratings in 15 different categories.

Online DIY world at toom.de
In the online shop, DIY enthusiasts can reserve their purchases online with Click & Reserve and Click & Collect and collect them free of charge from their nearest store. This works after just one hour. Alternatively, toom delivers the products to your doorstep throughout Germany (Click & Deliver).

On toom.de and in the toom app, there are also ways to quickly and easily browse through the range, get inspiration and advice, discover offers and keep an eye on all the important information about the local store.

Advice via video call
With the "Video advice & service chat" service, customers receive quick and expert support for their projects at home, on the building site or in the garden. Toom employees show the products live and recommend the right tool or material and are directly connected to the customer as problem solvers. As an instant video consultation with or without an appointment, do-it-yourselfers can bring the professionals into their homes via video link on toom.de.


*Globis Consulting GmbH conducts the independent online survey every year, in which German and Austrian consumers submit more than 140,000 ratings in 15 different categories. The "Best Retailer of the Year" seal is recognised as a reliable award by both retailers and consumers.

The trade magazine "Lebensmittelpraxis" has honoured the service counter in the Nezlow family's REWE store in Waging with the "Meat Star 2025" award. REWE even won twice in the competition for the best young talent in the industry.

BILLA honoured with VAMP Award
In search of young talent, BILLA sent a specially created, walk-in truck through Austria. Inside, interested parties were offered advice on all ten BILLA apprenticeships and an exciting escape game. BILLA has now been honoured with the VAMP Award for this innovative apprentice search concept.
Timo Wedhorn, Lead HR Digitisation Target Image & Enabler and Carmen Kuhl, IT Business Analyst Expert, are delighted with the award.

And the RETA Award goes to.... REWE Group
The EHI retail institute has presented the REWE Group with the RETA Award in the "Best Enterprise Solution" category. The MeineREWE app for employees in REWE stores was honoured.
German Skilled Labour Award
REWE Süd nominated for integration of migrants
With its KIMAT integration programme, REWE Süd was one of the 21 nominees for the German Skilled Labour Award. In total, there were over 500 applications for the award, which is presented by the German government for outstanding approaches to recruiting skilled labour.
Environmental impact costs
PENNY project "True costs 2023" analysed
The University of Greifswald and Nuremberg Institute of Technology present the evaluation of the "True Costs" project. The aim of the project, to stimulate discussion, was achieved. PENNY donates the additional income of 375,000 euros generated from the campaign week to the Future Builders project.
