Mega party despite mega heat

A record year on all levels: This year's Parookaville Festival attracted a huge crowd despite the high temperatures. The PENNY stores were almost sold out, and the Vegan Kitchen also ran at record levels. For the first time, there was a headphone party under the motto Silent Fun By Penny - at peak times, 12,000 campers celebrated in front of the PENNY DJ Tower on Wednesday. The University of Greifswald and Nuremberg Institute of Technology present the evaluation of the "True Costs" project. The aim of the project, to stimulate discussion, was achieved. PENNY donates the additional income of 375,000 euros generated from the campaign week to the Future Builders project.

Employees as "Supporting 6" at the Ice Hockey World Championship in Finland

The atmosphere was fantastic when the German national ice hockey team won the runner-up title against Canada on 28 May - the first World Championship medal in 70 years. Six PENNY "Supporting 6", who were able to accompany the ice hockey professionals on site, were particularly excited.

50 years of PENNY

PENNY celebrated its 50th anniversary on 17 May. The management team congratulated the employees with a letter of thanks. As a sweet thank you, all 2,150 PENNY shops received a birthday cake.

PENNY employee Susanne Spors did not let a heavy blow of fate get her down and fought her way back into the world of work. In August, she celebrates her tenth anniversary with the company.
