Management board completed

Dr Daniela Büchel, Hans-Jürgen Moog and Peter Maly joined the Management Board of REWE Group on 1 January. The new Management Board is now complete.

With Dr Daniela Büchel, the Supervisory Board is appointing a woman to the top committee for the first time in more than 20 years. As Chief People and Sustainability Officer (CPSO), the 49-year-old will be responsible for Human Resources and Sustainability. Since joining REWE Group in 2003, she has held various positions, including in the areas of strategy and Group marketing, before taking over HR and Sustainability.

As Chief Operating Officer (COO), Peter Maly is responsible for the REWE full-range division in Germany as well as for logistics and supply chain management (SCM) across the Group. The 54-year-old studied economics in Giessen and has held various sales management positions since joining REWE Group, including as Managing Director of REWE Region North.

Hans-Jürgen Moog, who has been Head of Purchasing for many years, was also appointed to the Management Board. The 54-year-old looks back on more than 20 years of experience in responsible purchasing functions in the food retail sector and is now responsible for the Goods/Purchasing department as Chief Procurement Officer (CPO).

Telerik Shishmanov joined the Management Board as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Christoph Eltze as Chief Digital and Technology Officer (CDTO) in July last year. Lionel Souque continues to head the Management Board as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Jan Kunath as Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Deputy CEO).
