To this end, 1. FC Köln organised its Bundesliga home match against VfB Stuttgart under the motto Diversity.

The slogan "Live as you are" was everywhere in the stadium "REWE Group is colourful and diverse, creative and innovative. Our employees come from 150 nations - we encourage them all to be themselves, regardless of their sexual orientation, age, gender or where they come from. The Diversity Match Day epitomises what we stand for: Diversity, tolerance, diversity and fair play. We also emphasise this with our logo in rainbow colours, among other things," said Lionel Souque, CEO of the REWE Group, during the half-time break of the match against Stuttgart.

Florian Kainz in the rainbow jersey for the match against VFB Stuttgart Kölner Sportstätten GmbH, which has actively supported the initiative from the outset, also sent out a signal visible from afar and had the pylons of the Rheinenergie Stadium lit up in the colours of the rainbow on match day. Flags with the FC campaign motif adorned the Oskar-Rehfeldt-Weg in the direction of the stadium. There, information stands from initiatives and organisations from the LGBTIQ+ community provided information on the topic of diversity.

The diversity jersey "Live as you are" should not only be available for purchase in the grey T-shirt version, but also as a player jersey.
