TV chef Tim Mälzer and REWE join forces

Whether it's pasta with tomato sauce or a colourful salad with yoghurt dressing - even popular and simple dishes need a change from time to time. Although delicious cooking is actually easy, many people associate it with challenges such as time, experience or the worry that the dishes might not taste good. But there is a remedy, because now the flavour guarantor is coming into play: Tim Mälzer. In future, the TV chef and REWE will be wielding the wooden spoon together.

"It's incredibly fun to work with Tim Mälzer and experience his creative streak live and in person. It helps us to look at food and cooking from a different perspective. And I can promise that REWE customers can already look forward to what will be possible in the future with Tim's expertise and love of experimentation," reveals Clemens Bauer, Head of Marketing at REWE.

The first taste of what's to come came at the annual conference of the Northern Region in Hamburg: Tim Mälzer conjured up a flavourful highlight from a simple potato salad in no time at all. How did he do it? With a secret ingredient that will soon be making waves. At the "Kuppel" in Hamburg, Jochen Vogel, Chairman of the Management of REWE Nord, was also enchanted by the TV chef's cooking magic.

"We are looking forward to working with Tim Mälzer. His many years of experience and his sense for good food are a great fit for REWE. Together, we can create exclusive products for our customers that can be easily integrated into everyday life without compromising on flavour," says Jochen Vogel.

Tim Mälzer and REWE are still working in secret to bring more variety to Germany's plates. However, the curtain for the big show will soon be lifted piece by piece.
