In recent years, Lithuania has developed into a European hotspot for innovation and cutting-edge technologies. A wide range of opportunities for start-ups and, above all, business-orientated, hard-working, innovative people are allowing the dynamic local community to continue to grow - and we are right in the middle of it.
For 30 years, "IKI" has stood for innovative spirit in Lithuanian retail. From the first in-store baked croissants in the 1990s to testing the latest innovations such as self-driving vehicles and age recognition, IKI has become a real driver of innovation.
In the tech sector in particular, the retail chain is driving smart developments that are reshaping the shopping experience for customers. For example, IKI was the first retailer in the Baltic States to open autonomous stores and show what shopping without checkouts can look like. In Vilnius, IKI was the first retailer in Europe to use autonomous delivery vehicles.
