nahkauf helps children in need
In its anniversary year, nahkauf remains true to its good tradition and donates 300,000 euros to Bild hilft e.V. "Ein Herz für Kinder". The most efficient fundraisers among the nahkauf retailers were there live in Berlin when the sum was announced in front of an audience of millions.

The "Stück zum Glück" initiative from Aktion Mensch, REWE and Procter & Gamble has inaugurated an inclusive playground in Cottbus together with the Fürst-Pückler-Museum Park and Castle Branitz Foundation. In attendance: over 100 children playing.
A heart for children
The "Ein Herz für Kinder" gala on the second Saturday of Advent live on ZDF attracted millions of viewers - and a star-studded line-up to the TV studio. Among the celebrities on the red carpet: a delegation of charitable nahkauf retailers.
Flood helper Timo Feld
Two years after the flood disaster on the Ahr, much has already been achieved, also thanks to donations from our colleagues at REWE Group. Nevertheless, much remains to be done. Timo Feld knows exactly what is missing and how we can all help.
Aid for Haiti
The Collège Véréna, which was built with our support, was occupied, looted and partially destroyed by criminal gangs. The schoolchildren and teachers remained physically unharmed, and we are now looking for temporary classrooms and psychological help for them. In this precarious situation, we continue to stand by the children of Haiti and the Kindernothilfe employees who are trying to help the traumatised children on the ground.

Special Olympics playground
In the run-up to the Special Olympics World Games, the "Stück zum Glück" campaign is drawing attention to the important topic of inclusion in childhood: around 70 children between the ages of four and eight were invited to the "Special Olympics Playground" on Tuesday (13 June). On the inclusive playground in Berlin's Dusekestraße, they completed a movement course with various accessible challenges. REWE, Aktion Mensch and Procter & Gamble are partners in "Stück zum Glück" and thus also initiators of the "Playground Special Olympics".
Under the motto #TogetherStronger, BILLA, together with Caritas and other partners, is implementing a new initiative to comprehensively strengthen social justice.
Rescue lane at the checkout II
Rarely has the response to a one_contribution been so clearly positive as to our report on the "rescue lane at the checkout" in Ulrich Budnik's REWE supermarket in Dortmund. What unfortunately went unnoticed was that as great as the idea is, it wasn't entirely new. A fast lane for paramedics and emergency doctors has been in place at the REWE store in Somborn, Hesse, since the end of October last year.
