Toom and Little Home e.V.
Winter care packages for the homeless
by Jana Niemann

Since 2018, toom has been supporting the Little Home e.V. association in building mini-homes for homeless people. Especially now, when it is dark and dreary outside, the residents of the Little Homes are happy to receive little things that are decorative and useful, such as cushions, blankets or torches. toom is therefore donating 40 care packages to Little Home.

More and more people in Germany are homeless or even completely without shelter. Toom and the Cologne-based Little Home association are working together to help these people and support them on their way back to life with mini houses. The little houses offer people without shelter a place to retreat and privacy and ultimately an organised starting point for a life back in society.

Especially these days, when it is dark and dreary outside, the residents of the Little Homes are happy to receive things that are decorative and useful. The colleagues at toom therefore packed winter care packages for Little Home residents - filled with things such as candles, blankets and torches. With the special support of the colleagues at toom Troisdorf, 40 care packages were donated to Little Home e.V. The founder of the organisation, Sven Lüdecke, immediately set off to bring joy to many of the residents of the little homes.

More than 100,000 people are on Little Home's "waiting list" and are hoping for a mini home. Unfortunately, the demand exceeds the organisation's capacity. Nevertheless, there are many positive stories of people who have rejoined our society thanks to the Little Home and the help of the organisation.
