Over the past five years, employees have made monthly salary donations as part of our donation project to support important social projects that empower people in very different life situations. The donation result is impressive: In total, over 340,000 euros were raised from salary and individual donations for a good cause during the project period

Under the motto "Big impact for small money", a low-threshold way to make a big difference with a small monthly contribution was created in 2021: Choose one of a total of four sponsored projects, set a donation amount and make a difference together
"I am delighted to see how many of our colleagues have donated to the various projects over the past five years. This collective commitment shows in a special way what we can achieve together at REWE Group," says Nicola Tanaskovic, Head of Corporate Responsibility.
The employee donation project was completed on schedule at the end of 2025.we are continuing our cooperation with the supported organisations in various ways.
Together with Kindernothilfe, the Collège Verena has been built up and supported since 2010. The "Protective School" project was also supported as part of the employee donation project
Here, children are given access to education and at the same time learn how to protect themselves in the event of a disaster.the project is located in a slum in Haiti that was built by earthquake survivors.the school deliberately emphasises non-violence as a guiding educational principle and thus offers a particularly protected space for learning and growth.
„The employee fundraising campaign made a significant contribution to breaking the vicious circle of poverty and violence. We would like to thank each and every one of them from the bottom of our hearts.“ Corinna Schneider, Manager Corporate Partnerships Kindernothilfe e.V.
Thanks to the donations, around 230 children were able to attend school regularly and benefit from warm school meals, clean drinking water and a safer learning environment
"Children in Haiti often join gangs because they get something to eat there regularly.for the children, school meals are more than just food - they are a protective shield against falling into gang crime.the employee fundraising campaign made a significant contribution to breaking the vicious circle of poverty and violence. We would like to thank each and every one of them from the bottom of our hearts," says Corinna Schneider, Manager Corporate Partnerships Kindernothilfe e.V. Kindernothilfe will continue to be supported by corporate donations even after the employee donation project has ended.

The "Tafel strengthens children" programme uses a children and youth fund to support local children and young people with activities that go far beyond simply distributing food. Creative, cultural and everyday activities such as arts and crafts, music lessons or children's cookery courses strengthen orientation, self-confidence and important life skills
The donations from our employees, which are channelled into the Tafel Deutschland fund, help to make a wide range of support programmes for children and young people possible. Examples already supported by the fund show the impact that such initiatives can have: these include a five-day circus camp in Hesse, where young people developed their own programme and discovered their individual strengths.an intercultural Christmas party was also supported in Brandenburg, which provided shared experiences and diverse encounters with craft activities, choir performances and small gifts. Both projects help to create positive experiences and strengthen the social participation of children affected by poverty.
„Thank you very much for the monthly support of REWE Group employees. Your donations make it possible to support projects for children and young people.“ Marco Koppe, Managing Directors Tafel Deutschland e. V.

The support comprises two consecutive projects:the "Black Mambas" until 2024, then the "sniffer dogs" in South Africa.the "Black Mambas" are an anti-poaching unit led by women who track down illegal camps, traps and fire pits in the Kruger National Park in South Africa. The work of these women protects endangered wild animals and at the same time opens up prospects for local communities.this is complemented by the "Bush Babies" programme, in which children and young people at ten schools are made aware of environmental and animal protection.
The "sniffer dogs" are intended to help curb poaching in the extensive area of the Pilanesberg National Park. The wildlife sniffer dogs are trained to sniff out not only horn or ivory at the park's entry and exit points, but also firearms and ammunition. In the bushveld, specially trained tracking dogs follow the tracks of suspicious persons.
„Thank you for supporting two DERTOUR Foundation anti-poaching projects in South Africa over the past few years“ Kathrin Sommer, CSR Manager DERTOUR Foundation
The funds from the employee donation project have made it possible to ensure that the sniffer dogs receive regular veterinary examinations.
"Thank you for supporting two DERTOUR Foundation anti-poaching projects in South Africa in recent years.in 2025 alone, the sniffer dogs checked 1,600 cars and sniffed out 40 firearms and a further 400 illegal substances and smuggled plants," says Kathrin Sommer, CSR Manager DERTOUR Foundation.
The DERTOUR Foundation continues to be supported by company donations and employee memberships.
This joint commitment has achieved far more than mere financial support: it has given rise to hope, enabled concrete help and opened up new prospects for the future for many people. This impact would not have been possible without the ongoing commitment of our employees.
