REWE and PENNY can celebrate their successes at the V-Label Awards: REWE Bio's vegan spaetzle and Food For Future's vegan slices were able to prevail against strong competition.
REWE and PENNY were shortlisted for the prestigious award with a total of six products. The award is presented by the nutritional organisation ProVeg e.V. and recognises the best plant-based products on the German market - an important impetus for the transformation of the global food system.
The products were evaluated by experts from the nutritional organisation ProVeg and the ProVeg Incubator according to criteria such as marketing appeal, market potential, degree of innovation, sustainability and health. From the 100 or so products submitted, 27 finalists qualified for a jury tasting with representatives from the food industry, science and catering. Consumers were then able to vote for their favourite products in a public vote.
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank all our colleagues who responded to the call and voted for one of our products - the commitment was worth it! Because REWE and PENNY's own brands won in two categories. REWE Bio won with its vegan spaetzle in the "Vegan ready-made & frozen products" category, while PENNY won in the "Vegan sweets & snacks" category with its vegan slices from Food For Future.
With these awards, REWE and PENNY once again sent out a clear signal in favour of sustainable and varied nutrition that also offers full enjoyment.
