The jury was particularly impressed by the innovative and consistently vegan products, the well thought-out brand strategy and REWE's overall coherent and credible image. PENNY will also be honoured with a PETA Vegan Award in 2026 - for an outstanding individual product.

With this award, PETA emphasises REWE's commitment to making animal-friendly alternatives visible and actively contributing to the promotion of a more conscious and sustainable lifestyle. REWE impressively demonstrates how vegan diversity can be made suitable for everyday use, attractive and accessible to a broad target group.

PENNY will also be honoured with a PETA Vegan Award in 2026 - for an outstanding individual product. The delicatessen salad "Typ Prawn Salad 'Garlic Cream'" from the Food For Future own brand received the award in the "Best Fish Alternative" category.

"With this product, PENNY impressively demonstrates how innovative, delicious and contemporary vegan food creations can be today. Plant-based nutrition has long been synonymous with enjoyment, variety and responsibility - for people, animals and our planet. We hope that many more brands will take up this pioneering approach and develop their range in a future-oriented way," says Harald Ullmann, co-founder and 2nd Chairman of PETA Germany.
