Petrol stations can now sell concert tickets
by Ingo Gschwilm

Buying a ticket for the next concert while refuelling is now possible thanks to Lekkerland, CTS Eventim and epay. Together, the three partners are turning petrol stations into advance booking offices and have developed a digital ticketing solution that enables the nationwide sale of tickets for many different music, sporting and cultural events at petrol stations. The solution is now available at Lekkerland.

It works with the help of the digital kiosk iKiosk, where Lekkerland and epay have been working together for many years: Petrol stations can already offer their customers a large selection of prepaid products such as vouchers and gift cards via this kiosk. Tickets for concerts, sporting and other events are now being added. Processing takes place via a connection to the epay processing platform as a BaFin-licensed payment service provider.

"For petrol station shops, ticket sales are a great addition to the product range and a logical development step towards becoming a multi-service hub in the region," says Veith Huxohl, Head of Product Management & Marketing Corporate e-va at Lekkerland.

How ticket sales at petrol stations work

Consumers select their event and optional seat directly at the service point in the participating petrol station shop, reserve their ticket and receive a printed payment slip. They pay for this at the till of the petrol station shop using their preferred payment method. The event ticket will be sent to you digitally by e-mail after payment.
