
Despite the challenges posed by the Covid 19 pandemic, the FÜR SIE retail group achieved record figures in 2021.
In 2021, the Handelsgenossenschaft's net revenue increased by 3 per cent year-on-year to € 2.53 billion.
This increase was achieved with stable revenue in the beverage sector, primarily due to the positive business development in the food/non-food sector, particularly in the online and wholesale sales areas, as well as the further acquisition of new customers for the cooperative.
The annual result after tax for all Group companies totalled 2,590 thousand euros, around 2 million euros above the previous year's figure. The increase in FÜR SIE's earnings strength means that the upcoming challenges in pricing in the goods business and the further modernisation of IT applications can be met.
The expansion of marketing purchasing for the bulk consumer segment and the further development of the PAYBACK customer loyalty programme, which was successfully launched for GVG's beverage market customers in July 2020, were also driven forward in a targeted manner.
Matthias Heurich, Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Jan Kunath, Deputy CEO of the REWE Group, and Kai Mattfeld, a businessman from Hamburg, were re-elected to the Supervisory Board.
