With our organic brand Ja! Natürlich brand, we were pioneers in Austria. On our 30th birthday, we are not only celebrating the brand, but also numerous milestones, thanks to which we have repeatedly set standards at an early stage and paved the way for higher animal welfare standards and regionality.

Local products with Loql
With our food start-up "Loql", we use an innovative platform that connects regional producers and food retailers. Under the mission statement "Local food on every plate", Loql promotes cooperation between regional suppliers such as local manufacturers and farmers and B2B buyers.we have gathered initial experience from our markets.
Local partnership Strawberries
The second instalment of our mini-series on local partnerships is about a seasonal bestseller, an important source of vitamins and a sweet snack all in one: the strawberry. The Ingenrieth family in Brüggen knows all about this tasty but also very delicate fruit. We paid them a visit.
Local partnership Asparagus
During the season, up to 100 per cent of the strawberries and asparagus in REWE stores are grown locally. We present two farms as examples. The first is Esser's farm in Vettweiß.
REWE strengthens regionality
From April to September, three campaigns will bring this REWE message to men and women: REWE is "closer" - to customers and local producers in the regions. This will be visible on TV and social media, and above all in the regions and in every store. Three of our colleagues from headquarters, regions and stores report on what this means for them and how they implement the topic of regionality.
Regional Star
Regional product ranges are one of the strengths of our independent retailers. This has now been impressively confirmed by the "Regional Star" industry competition, in which several REWE stores placed. One of them was particularly impressive - thanks to its employees.
Fruit and vegetables
The new regional brand "Marktliebe" puts producers and regions centre stage. PENNY organised tastings in four shops to whet customers' appetites for its own-brand products. We visited one of them and spoke to the farmer and store manager.
Food start-up
More and more people are looking for healthy, regional and sustainably produced food when shopping. Our start-up "Loql" is now addressing these needs: The aim is to connect regional producers and suppliers with supermarkets as customers quickly and easily. The test phase of the new digital platform solution will begin at the end of April with a closed group of participants. The start-up is the latest project from REWE Group's Innovation Hub.
