
Nahkauf is moving even closer to its big sister REWE in future. To this end, the tried-and-tested concept will be expanded to include additional services. In recent weeks, retailers were able to find out what these services will look like during a roadshow through the REWE regions.
For a whole year, those responsible for Nahkauf sat together with numerous bodies, committees, retailers and representatives of REWE management and developed concrete approaches on how the local supplier, which has grown into a strong brand over more than a decade, can be taken even further. Project manager Randi Baum points out that this involves bundling competences, structures and services in favour of a uniform brand image. For retailers, this means more transparency and efficiency.
The success of Nahkauf would be unthinkable without the dedicated teams. Consequently, the protection of employees is a top priority. The regional occupational safety specialists will advise and support the retailers in future. Preventive healthcare is being expanded. The BAD company doctors are on hand to support the Nahkauf teams. Other key topics are the training and further education of retailers, including the new web academy, and the expansion of the retailers' networks. Retailers can also order an optional additional service package to reduce their back office workload. The head office will then also take over time-consuming tasks such as personnel management, payroll and financial accounting as well as merchandise and market accounting.
"The Future Initiative is our most important development step to date. We clearly differentiate ourselves from the competition and offer the best local supplier concept in Germany," said Sales Director Florian Sörensen, emphasising the importance of this milestone for the Nahkauf brand.
