REWE Group - a living cooperative
The Marosi family - local suppliers with a heart
by Sara Gajic

In the centre of life, close to people: In our film series, we present impressive REWE Group retailers - strong personalities who have led their stores to success with an individual signature and a common sales concept. Their stories are as diverse as they are - and yet they are united by a common foundation of values that is deeply rooted in REWE Group's co-operative tradition. Today in portrait: Erna and Daniel Marosi, retailers at ADEG.

Marosi family

"They don't just come shopping because it says ADEG, they come because it's us." Erna and Daniel Marosi's customers appreciate the warm atmosphere, the many personal conversations and the relaxed atmosphere they experience at the mother-son duo's ADEG store.

the Marosi family's success story began in 2011 when they took over their first ADEG shop. In doing so, they secured local supplies in their home town of Gerersdorf, as the previous store owner was retiring and the store was threatened with closure. Today, the family runs three ADEG stores in the region and is proud to be able to supply their region.

What makes the cooperative special for Erna Marosi: "The cohesion. Everyone pulls together - like one big family." Whether in the team or in the cooperative - the strong family feeling is the decisive factor in the Marosis' success.

ADEG

ADEG's co-operative success story began 130 years ago, when committed retailers in Styria founded a purchasing co-operative. in 2006, the ADEG brand finally became part of the REWE Group and thus also part of the cooperative. With around 360 locations and around 2,300 employees, the retailer is now represented throughout Austria - as a local supplier, social meeting point and centrepiece of many communities.
