For the Bundesliga start in 2022/2023
1. FC Köln celebrates season opener

Next Saturday, 23 July, 1 FC Köln will once again be hosting its traditional season opener on the RheinEnergieStadion pitch. REWE Group, together with its sales divisions REWE, DER Travel and Tourism and ZooRoyal, will contribute to a successful family day with numerous interactive offers.

Under the motto "Mer fiere dä FC - En Kölle & Europa", the club will present itself with the men's and women's Bundesliga teams, including all new additions. The FC's main partner REWE Group and its sales lines REWE, DER Travel and Tourism and ZooRoyal will offer two- and four-legged visitors a varied programme from 11:30 am.

In the REWE Group area, trampoline fans young and old can test the Quadro Jump, relax in the Chill-Out Lounge or win a little something by spinning the wheel of fortune.

For all sports enthusiasts, a football rodeo, a skills course and a soccer cage are available in the REWE area, as well as the photo kick, where professional pictures of your own shots on goal can be taken. The Torhunger food truck brings visitors closer to smoothies, snacks and innovative dishes.

While the little FC fans let off steam in DER Travel and Tourism's obstacle jungle, other visitors can gather inspiration for their next holiday in the chill-out lounge. DER Travel and Tourism will also be making surfing possible in front of the RheinEnergieStadion with a surf simulator.


At the ZooRoyal stand, there will be an airbrush campaign with many different motifs, including funny animals, the 1. FC Köln logo and Hennes. ZooRoyal has also set up its own lounge for all the dogs present, which invites them to relax after sampling various products.

Kasalla, Mo-Torres, Die Höhner and Ben Randerath will provide Cologne's musical entertainment until 18:30. In addition to the traditional autograph stands, the Bundesliga club will also be presenting the work of the FC Kids Club, the 1. FC Köln Football School Heinz Flohe, the FC Foundation and the eSportsmen at numerous other stands. Other FC partners will also present themselves to the fans with attractions.

On the main stage, which is presented by FC main partner REWE Group, FC stadium announcer Michael Trippel will lead through the varied programme:

  • 12.30 hrs Talk round with Management Board/Managing Directors and team presentation

  • 17.10 am Live music by Mo-Torres & Band
