Their relief was clear to see when they received their certificates: Just a few hours earlier, twelve employees from PENNY and REWE Group Fruchtlogistik had passed their final examination to become "Fruit and Vegetable Quality Control Specialists".

After a forced break due to the pandemic, a new IHK-certified training course for fruit and vegetable quality control specialists started in May. For the graduates of the first seminar, the effort has paid off.
Conserving resources and the climate
As part of the sustainability strategy "Avoid. Reduce. Improve." rEWE Group wants to encourage even more customers to buy unpackaged fruit and vegetables in the reusable fresh produce network.
25. German Fruit Prize
Bielefeld, Bonn, Berlin, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt am Main and Nuremberg: these are the locations of the REWE stores with the best fruit and vegetable departments. The winning teams have now been honoured in Baden-Baden.
"Ja! Natürlich!"
The season for organic tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers from Austria is being extended. This is made possible by a new greenhouse that uses geothermal energy for CO2-neutral heating.
Fruit and vegetables with visual defects are in high demand and are recording a double-digit jump in sales. The range is therefore being expanded.
