Diversity Month, Part 9: Football Inclusion Cup
In order to draw attention to the social importance of sport, the fifth round of Scheine für Vereine is being organised for the first time in cooperation with Aktion Mensch. A junior football tournament was the successful kick-off, as there were only winners.
Special Olympics
When the Special Olympics start in Berlin on 17 June, 100 employees will be there as volunteers. Franziska Halstrick and Charlotte Ehl find out why and how REWE Group is getting involved in the Olympics for athletes with disabilities and what the volunteers can expect in Berlin.
Balancing the job
Patrick Franz is a businessman and runs a nahkauf supermarket in Fulda and a REWE store in Bad Soden-Salmünster. In his free time, he pursues two remarkable hobbies: Boxing and ice swimming. He draws strength from these for his everyday work. Because, as surprising as it may sound, the 41-year-old sees parallels to his job in both.
REWE ends DFB co-operation
Following FIFA's current decisions and the statements made by FIFA President Infantino, REWE Group clearly distances itself from FIFA's position and waives its advertising rights under the contract with the DFB - especially in the context of the World Cup.
REWE Group at the Cologne Marathon
With 3,903 kilometres run and 225 runners, REWE Group was once again well represented at the first Cologne Marathon after the two-year coronavirus break - and for a good cause. There was also a healthy "marathon menu" for the runners in the REWE Group catering village.

Special Olympics
REWE employee Julius Dietrich from Lehrte won two gold medals at the Special Olympics in Berlin. He won both the singles and doubles in tennis.
