ADEG self-service shop opens

Diversity
Anton is nine years old and has Down's syndrome. To make the weekly shopping trip for him and his mum Nicole more needs-based and relaxed, REWE salesman Rade Savic has purchased a special shopping trolley. Since then, "Anton's speedster" has become an integral part of the store in Küps, Bavaria.
"Stores of the Year"
Even before its first birthday, the REWE store at Anger 7 in Erfurt received a coveted award - as "Store of the Year" in the Food category, honoured by the German Retail Association.
Balancing the job
Patrick Franz is a businessman and runs a nahkauf supermarket in Fulda and a REWE store in Bad Soden-Salmünster. In his free time, he pursues two remarkable hobbies: Boxing and ice swimming. He draws strength from these for his everyday work. Because, as surprising as it may sound, the 41-year-old sees parallels to his job in both.
