Fit for the future
With the launch of the new ZooRoyal online shop on 5 May, REWE Group has successfully completed a complex technology project: ZooRoyal and Weinfreunde worked together with REWE digital for a year to make their e-commerce platforms more future-proof. The new Weinfreunde shop went live on 30 March. The aim of the project was to replace an increasingly complex system landscape that had grown over the years with a modern, standardised architecture.
New food fulfilment centre
The REWE delivery service has opened a food fulfilment centre in Frankfurt. With the "Picking Loop" and "Pick by Light", it offers two technical innovations.
Fulfilment tools
With fulfilmenttools, the REWE Group has a tech subsidiary that ensures that the goods are delivered from the warehouse to the customer once they have been ordered online. A task that only seems simple at first glance. In the background, this means providing various delivery options for the customer and finding the optimal route for the goods for the retailer.
