Paymenttools expands into Douglas stores

In over 330 Douglas stores across Germany, all card transactions at the stationary checkout will be processed using payment tools from June onwards

From June, all credit card and girocard transactions at the stationary checkout in Douglas stores throughout Germany will be offered via Paymenttools. The new partnership between Douglas and Paymenttools will make the payment process even more secure and efficient for customers. Consumers will continue to benefit from features such as contactless payment, immediate notification of successful transactions and the security of making a purchase via a modern platform. Consumer demand for faster and more convenient payment processes is increasing: "With Paymenttools, we have found the ideal partner for Douglas with a merchant-centred approach and a seamless connection to our infrastructure," says Thomas Lenz, Head of Internal Sales at Douglas.

"We are delighted that we were able to convince Douglas of our offer," says Jens Kohnen, Managing Director at Paymenttools. "The connection of our payment platform is an important milestone on our growth path, as Douglas is the first large and well-known chain store outside the REWE Group that we have been able to win over," Kohnen continues.

The start of the collaboration will be accompanied by the relaunch of the Paymenttools website, which aims to provide easy access to the newly developed merchant portal and also offers a platform for the new payment portfolio.
