To mark the United Nations' Orange Day campaign* against violence against women, we are presenting our internal support services for affected female employees.
Violence in the domestic environment not only leaves physical and psychological traces - it also has an impact on the workplace. That is why REWE Group offers concrete support with these programmes, among others:
Domestic violence includes physical, psychological, sexual and economic abuse between people living in the same household. It is not a private matter - the legal right to protection is enshrined in law. Nevertheless, there is often a long way between experiencing violence and seeking help or requesting a no-contact order. This often begins with verbal humiliation before it leads to physical violence or stalking.
But why do many of those affected find it difficult to separate? The reasons are often shared children, financial dependence, shame - and not least a lack of knowledge about legal rights and offers of help.
This is where the "Domestic Violence" guide comes in, which was developed by the CoE Health & Innovation department. In addition to helpful addresses and contact persons (also for the perpetrators), it defines the concept of domestic violence - and where it begins.
The "Domestic violence" guide can be found here - as can the guide on "Sexualised violence":topfit.App
LoS! - Help from colleagues for colleagues
Whether domestic or sexualised violence, bullying, debt, divorce or caring for a relative: Private crises can put a massive strain on everyday working life. With the LoS! Around 300 LoS! multipliers are active throughout Germany. They listen, give advice and arrange contacts - confidentially and straightforwardly. All available LoS! multipliers are listed here: Topfit.App

Emergency number on the receipt
As part of the international campaign "16 Days against Violence against Women", the Business Areas of REWE Group in Austria are launching a nationwide initiative to prevent violence. Information on emergency numbers and advice centres will be printed on all till receipts until 10 December. The aim is to make it easier for those affected to access help and to raise awareness of the issue in society.
The campaign is being realised in cooperation with the Austrian Federal Ministry of the Interior as part of the "Together safely with our police" initiative. With its wide reach, REWE Group wants to make a low-threshold contribution to making violence visible and promoting prevention.
