Financial year 2022
EHA remains on course
by Hanna Behrendt

EHA Energie-Handels-Gesellschaft has published its annual report for 2022. Despite a difficult market situation, the result was maintained at the previous year's level. The surplus amounted to almost 8.9 million euros with sales growth of 30 per cent to 895.3 million euros.

The extraordinary sales growth can be explained by the energy price trend, growth in new and existing customers, increased wholesale sales and the energy price trend. EHA supplied customers with 3,965 GWh of electricity and 884 GWh of gas in the 2022 financial year.

"The 2022 financial year confirmed that our diversified energy procurement pays off, especially in times of crisis. In future, we will integrate power purchase agreements and renewable energy generation to an even greater extent. We are also investing in digital solutions for energy controlling," says EHA Managing Director Jan-Oliver Heidrich.

EHA was founded in 1998 as a joint venture between the former Hamburgische Electricitäts-Werke AG (HEW), later Vattenfall GmbH, and the REWE Group. Since 2014, the company has been a wholly owned subsidiary of the REWE Group and our central point of contact for all energy issues.
