The parents' driving licence becomes a reality in the science fiction drama "The Assessment". In Luzia Schmid's documentary film "I want it all. Hildegard Knef", daughter Christina "Tinta" Gardiner confesses that her mother could sometimes become a stress test for the closest family. And a murder at the 13-year-old son's school puts an entire family under stress in "Adolescence".
The idea of a parenting licence is nothing new, and in the not-too-distant future of "The Assessment" it has already been implemented. Examiner Virginia visits well-to-do couple Mia and Aaryan to put them through a seven-day practical test. And Virginia is determined to make every day a stress test. Alicia Vikander, Elizabeth Olsen and the who's who of British film came together in the film studios of Cologne-Ossendorf in 2024 to contribute to the success of French actress Fleur Fortuné's feature film debut. And they were very successful.
Born in Gothenburg, Sweden, in 1988, Alicia Vikander's rise to fame has indeed been meteoric. in 2010, she made her feature film debut in "The Inner Beauty of the Universe". Just one year later, she is the queen alongside Mads Mikkelsen in "The Queen and the Physician". in 2016, she won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress in "The Danish Girl", and in 2018 she became the new Lara Croft in "Tomb Raider" after Angelina Jolie. In between, she still has time to marry actor Michael Fassbender. She lives with him and their two sons in London and Lisbon.

One morning, 13-year-old Jamie is arrested out of bed. He is accused of the murder of a fellow pupil. While Jamie vehemently denies everything, his parents believe it is a case of mistaken identity and take action against the police. Each of the four parts of the "Adolescence" series is shot in real time in a single take. Stephen Graham not only plays the 13-year-old's father, he also co-wrote the series. Peter Barantini, with whom Graham shot the feature film "Boiling Point" (2021) and the four-part sequel of the same name (2023) in real time, is also directing here. Just how well this team works together is evident in the tension and drama.

"Wanderstop" is a teahouse in the middle of the forest where Alta serves her guests tea that she has personally grown, harvested and prepared. Everything could be so wonderfully harmonious if Alta wasn't haunted by memories of her life as a fighter. "Wanderstop" is about change, self-discovery and burnout. Developer Davey Wreden experienced the latter first-hand after creating the highly complex games "The Stanley Parable" (2013) and "The Beginner's Guide" (2015). "Wanderstop" is his playfully meditative way to come down.
