Whether it's a cup of coffee or a pick-me-up - coffee is known by many names. Hardly any other drink is as popular as the caffeinated brew. Football star Anthony Modeste is also a fan. Together with his mate and "Kaffeesaurus" managing director Rafet Aydogdu, he came up with the idea of launching his own coffee on the market. Although the beans for Modeste's roast come from Brazil and India, the actual product is made in the cathedral city, at "Kaffeesaurus" on Friesenplatz. Here, the coffee beans are selected by hand, freshly roasted and processed into two flavoured espresso and filter varieties.

Delighting coffee and FC fans

"For many years, we have been pursuing the goal of establishing local partnerships and thus promoting local food producers. We are therefore delighted that Anthony Modeste turned to REWE when looking for a suitable partner company. We hope that his coffee will inspire as many people as Anthony Modeste himself," says Udo Ohmen, Head of Category Management at REWE West.

FC fans will not be able to miss the coffee on the REWE shelves: The eye-catching packaging design shows Tony cheering in his carnival jersey against Union Berlin - with the typical "Modeste glasses", of course.

The coffee beans are now available in the "From your region" department in REWE stores in Cologne and the surrounding area.
